Succubus

The Necur are one of several species that inhabit Nekuram and they represent a large majority of them. One of these species, however, is the Succubus which looks almost identical to the Necur beyond the tails, horns and wings that most Necur don't have. Meeting upon one was an eye-opening experience. I had heard that they possess an unnatural beauty and I can agree with that. What is more curious and interesting is the fact that they are a mono-sex... Only females exist. Thus reproducing makes them reliant on Necur, Humans and other species. With that said... They also seem to have a history with the Necur that is more than friendly. I have an understanding of why. They have a dangerous... feeling to them.

Another sub-species to the Necur, the Succubus closely resemble the Necur in many ways. Bipedal and much similar to how Necur are similar to Human, Succubi are well known as seductresses, charmcasters and lovers in stories and the very real world. Their natural beauty, their very own charm magic and their need for "lifeseed" contribute to this conception. Many however live outside of these, trying to mainly live life as any demon or human.

Apperance and biology

The first and foremost fact about Succubus is that there are only females of the species. They have striking similarities to both human and demon females. Arms, legs and the overall body do not have any difference in comparison beyond some features. All succubi have a tail that they start to grow around the age of one. Many grow horns of various shapes around the age of four to six. These features are the ones that tend to point out a succubus, however, since Necur can also have these features randomly, one can never be sure.

One can be sure from the age of 15 and onwards by the way of how they develop. Succubus develop their bodies rapidly to gain exceptional beauty. Their body proportions develop stunningly quickly compared to other species and most suffer week-long growth ackes. This can most notably be seen in increased breast mass, hip width and height in two months. Around the age of 25 many of them stop growing. The unnatural beauty that has developed during this time stays all their life. An aged succubus develops greying hair like humans and demons but has much fewer wrinkles.

Succubi can sustain themselves with food and drink similar to most species but also has a unique alternative that sustains them. This is the intake of "lifeseed" that some call a need for them. Lifeseed is a male's love for the succubus, gained, gathered, forced or otherwise. Historically succubi hunted for men to acquire lifeseed which brought many others into conflict with them and created stereotypes and prejudices conforming to this. At the time, succubi saw the need for lifeseed as a need that had to be sated. At present, lifeseed seems also to be able to be passively gathered in small amounts. While unconfirmed, lifeseed is said to grant much longer lives to succubi who sate themselves compared to those who live of only common substance.

Culture

There exist no official "leaders" or areas that are the succubis. They have been a part of Necur society for as long as history can be retold, unlike other species. This is also why their culture intertwines much with the Necur since it is the only society they have grown up in.

That does not mean they lack cultural practices. One is their coming-of-age ceremony in which a girl shall find her first "target" to use her allure and charm and "take him or her". This has changed much over history due to the violent history that exists in the past between Necur and Succubus (see The First Succubus War). Succubi tend to be very family-oriented and keep large families with matriarchs and close connections with extended family. This is seen as an older practice in the current age, as many succubus also strive to be independent and live happy married lives beyond their family matriarchs. This has become much more accepted in the last 400 years.
