Session 20 - The Flashback Session

General Summary

Finn

Finn walked along a breezy, autumn path with Angela, carrying firewood. Finn wore a hood over his head to conceal his identity. The two of them walked into Sweetwater, heading to the orphanage. On their way, Angela mentioned how Lucas made her "breakfast" consisting of mud and rocks, and she had to pretend to eat it.
Angela asked Finn to head to the orphanage with the firewood while she stopped by some shops. As Finn walked up to the front door, Aiden jumped out of the bush and attempted to scare him. Finn pretended he was.
Inside, about a dozen children were playing with toys. Aiden took Finn over to Isabella, and tried to convince him to play house, but he was interrupted by Clara running up to him crying. She said that Ben had called her names, so Finn sat him down and discouraged him for his behavior.
Finn then noticed Angela out the window talking to Martin, before she came in and announced that they would all be going on a field trip! Angela, Finn, and the kids all hurried out to a small meadow. Finn rolled down the hill, flew kites, and caught butterflies with the children, while Martin returned to talk with Angela again.
Martin took the kids back to the orphanage after the day was done, leaving Angela and Finn alone on the bridge over the river. Angela talked to Finn about how he felt about Sweetwater and the orphanage. She told him that life is like a river. It keeps flowing no matter what. She hugged Finn, and told him to promise to keep going, no matter what. Finn said he has to, but he also wants to.
A surge of magical energy coursed through Finn, erasing his memories of Angela, the kids, and everything else. Finn was dropped in the river, where he flowed down it for a long time...
Eventually, Finn regained consciousness inside a thick net filled with fish. Two men looked him over, then called to their Captain. A pirate captain strode up and looked Finn over. The captain remarked that this Servo could be a good worker, although he was a little on the skinny side...

Hamilton

Hamilton sat in a train car, on his way to his first expedition. He was informed that a strange structure had been discovered in the Gladstone District of the Mainland, just inland from the Eastern Isles. While the ruins had already been surveyed by experts, Hamilton was brought on by another young archaeologist, Abigail Dorazio after the two had starting dating unofficially.
When Hamilton stepped out of the train, a young Samantha Wilcott was there to take him the rest of the way. She led him to a group of people when she arrived, then quickly departed.
The group of people consisted of Abigail, Marcus Hawthorne, and Nikolai Goodwin. Abigail introduced Hamilton to Marcus, and Goodwin mentioned he was only there to oversee the expedition.
After some banter, the group split up. Abigail went with Hamilton, while Marcus went a separate way. While they were alone, Abigail wrestled with her thoughts and feelings for Hamilton, and the two discussed what their future might be together.
Suddenly, a scream rang out from down a hall. Abigail rushed to see what the commotion was, with Hamilton in tow. They found Marcus on the ground, shaking and talking about a creature with six arms. Marcus pointed to where it ran off to, sending Abigail and Hamilton running down the hall.
As they ran, Abigail tripped and fell, hurting herself. Despite this, she encouraged Hamilton to go on ahead so as not to lose the creature. He continued running, only for the ground to collapse underneath him, sending him tumbling into darkness. Now suffering from a concussion, and with blurry vision from his now-broken glasses, Hamilton saw what appeared to be a ball of light floating in the air above a podium. Embedded in said podium was a medallion.
Hamilton stumbled forward and took the medallion, sending pain coursing through his body and soul. The runes on the walls glowed brightly as energy surged all around him. Suddenly, a cool hand touched his head to calm him. Looking up, he saw a siz-armed figure smiling up at him, before he fell unconscious from the pain. The last thing he saw before falling unconscious was Marcus and Abigail entering the now-dark chamber to save Hamilton.

Sasha

Sasha and her brother, Yassen were out near their tribe, where Yassen was trying to train Sasha in hunting a rabbit. Afterwards, as they headed back, Yassen expressed his frustration over the traditions the tribe had against women hunting.
After heading back and getting to sleep, Nadia woke Sasha up for breakfast. Sasha left the tent and saw her brothers on her way to the main building where the food was being served.
Dimo struggled to chop wood, however refused any help from Sasha. Meanwhile Toma and Skor were making jewelry for the younger children. After calling Sasha over, Toma made it clear he knew about Sasha and Yassen's training sessions.
Nikar & Namar stepped in front of Sasha and asked her to settle a bet on which was better: magic or blades? And Osho was in the middle of a sparring match with Dusta, who tried his best to flirt with her and impress her with his fighting skills.
When Sasha entered the building to get breakfast, Yassen ushered her over quickly. He gave Sasha some food and told her that Tashar wanted to see her. Sasha went over to the table, where Tashar was eating with some of the tribe's Elders. Tashar excused himself from the Elders and took Sasha aside, where he asked her what she was doing out with Yassen the previous night.
Sasha struggled to make an excuse, but was able to convince Tashar it wasn't them training. As Sasha finished her food and left, Yassen suddenly popped up and told her it was time for a "surprise exam". He led her out into the woods, where they saw two bandits chatting. Yassen told Sasha to take them both out, but warned her that when she takes a life, she's taking everything. Sasha shot both of the bandits, but before Yassen could congratulate her, he was struck in the leg with an arrow.
Sasha quickly dispatched the bandit that fired the shot, but was horrified when she heard the sounds of screams from back at the tribe. Yassen urged Sasha to go help the tribe, reassuring her he would be fine.
Sasha raced back to the tribe, and saw bandits attacking her people. Osho ran into her, and the two of them snuck through the carnage, seeing Skor, Nikar, and Namar's bodies on the way. She was just in time to witness Tashar escorting women and children out of the tribe, before he, too, was killed by a bandit.
In the aftermath of the battle, Sasha saw many bodies littering the tribe, and the building burned to the ground. The remainder of her brothers were nowhere to be seen, including Yassen, leaving Sasha alone.
