Kalashtar

The Quori are spirits of inhabitants from a long lost plane of dreams and nightmares known as Dal Quor. They exist now on the material plane by inhabiting mostly humans, taking residence in their mind and sharing it with their host, these humans are called Kalashtar. These cohabitations of mind have to be willing and their spirits are passed down or transferred via a special ritual when it is time to move on. The spirits and host are not able to directly communicate however they can present feelings, intentions and emotions to each other.
Their physiology mainly remains unchanged although the spirit does alter the body in subtle ways. Their mannerisms are also distinguishable from the average human as they act more like monks and practice meditation from a very young age. They are usually very measured and well-reasoned individuals, however when emotions flare, their eyes glow revealing their spirit connection within.
Although most Kalashtar have some basic psionic abilities such as telepathy, some have additional abilities and have learned to channel various elements of magic in the material plane. Some groups, for example, have been known to channel druidic energy and harness the ability to transform into beasts.
