Biological parent of Nain
Gror left the Grey Mountains after his father DAIN I the King of Durin's folk there was killed by a dragon, and instead of returning to Erebor with THROR his brother, he headed further east and south and founded his own hall in the Iron Hills. He felt he was too old at the time of the BATTLE OF AZANULBIZAR so he sent his son Nain to lead the army of the Dwarves of the Iron Hills. His son died in the battle, but his Grandson Dain, of the Iron Hills returned and on his death in 2805 T.A. Dain became the KING OF THE IRON HILLS.
