Dain I

Biological parent of Gror
Dain was born in the Grey Mountains and was the last of Durin's line to rule there.  In 2589 T.A. he was killed by a cold drake at the gates of his hall.  He was survived by his three sons THROR, Fror, and Gror.  After burying him in his tomb in his hall in the Grey Mountains his sons left that hall.  Thror returned with many to Erebor while Gror took others further east and south and established a new hall in the Iron Hills.
