WorldEmber has arrived (oh boy..) and I'm really excited for it! It is my first one after all ^^ This challenge will provide me the opportunity to flesh out stuff in my worlds as much as I want without worrying about a word limit! But before then, I have to plan out my strategy and that's where this homework comes in!

WEEK 1: PLEDGE YOUR GOAL

Choose Your Area of Focus

I have been thinking about this for a while now and have figured it out! My strategy for this challenge is to pick one area in each world and flesh them out. This way, I don't have to stress out on developing multiple things at once!

Inferncenem

Qada Agir, in general. The location itself and the species living there have already been written but I feel like there's so much more to add to this place. Hence, I want to elaborate on its subregions, the culture of its species, notable holidays, important materials and so on.

Caelumen

The Angels of Light. Their article, language and family article have been written but I wish to go further. So, during WorldEmber, other than cleaning up their article, I will expand on their culture, traditions, value and beliefs and other things like fashion, cuisine and art (should be fun!)

Ysteria

I decided to completely rework this world into a gothic/steampunk setting with vampires and werewolves as I wasn't happy with where it currently was :( So, during WE, I'll be fleshing these creatures out!

Auxul

I already had tons of fun writing about and drawing planets so why not do it again?This WorldEmber, I'll be expanding the nine planets of the Heliocentric System! Special emphasis will be placed on Auxul for obvious reasons XD

The Sol System

The Sol System is our planetary system in Stellar Cluster AX. It includes the Sun, nine planets, their moons, dwarf planets, asteroids, meteors, comets, and other small bodies, with empty space surrounding them. This version of the map is the most popular and widespread.

Work on Your Meta

....no, but I do need to work on the introduction articles for Ysteria and Auxul (if I ever do, that is). Inferncenem's primer is set though (still super proud of it; it even got a daily feature :D), probably to add stuff like inspiration, theme, stuff like that. Caelumen's primer got a massive glow up and I'm so happy with the way it looks :D

WEEK 2: PREPARE WORLD(S) FOR NEW VIEWERS

Review Your Homepage

I'm pretty happy with my homepages for now but I'll see if there's anything else to add. In fact, I have an idea! I'll let you guys check out the homepages for my worlds and make suggestions for what to add :D

Create/Review Your Primer

As I've stated earlier, Inferncenem's and Caelumen's primers are already complete, just to add stuff like author's intent, inspirations and all that. However, I don't think I have enough content or ideas to make proper ones for Ysteria and Auxul :/

Set Up Community Tools

No problemo though I may have some ideas regarding the use of subscriber groups ;)

WEEK 3: HUNT FOR INSPIRATION

Read a Book or Watch a Movie

Yeah, ummm. I haven't really given myself any time to read books or watch movies (or TV shows) because...I don't really feel like it. What I do manage to read, however, are the works of the amazing beans in this community, which is more that enough for me ^^

Create a Moodboard

Man, have I been putting this off! I already have a bunch of images (and still need to collect more) but they will prove so helpful for WorldEmber, I have no excuse to not make a moodboard XD Expect to see one soon!

Make a Writing Playlist

While I do have a YouTube Music playlist, it isn't for writing specifically but I still use it for that!

Inspiring Worlds

This isn't part of the homework but other people are adding this so why shouldn't I? :D

WEEK 4: HARNESS THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP

Find a Community

i don't need to because I found one months ago -- you guys! Seriously, there are tons of amazing beans both on the WA site and in the Discord server who encouraged and cheered me on for my first WE, which I am beyond grateful for <3

Plan a Writing Schedule

While I have figured out what to write, I still need to work out how to efficiently divide my time. This is what I'm thinking: I will work on one entry each day and alternate between each setting, as in going from Inferncenem to Caelumen to Ysteria and finally to Auxul. The cycle then continues until every planned article has been written. On days when I don't feel like writing, I will use the opportunity to brainstorm ideas and find inspiration.

Get Some Rest and Fresh Air

I believe that it's very important to rest before the big event to save up some energy, which is why I shall abstain from writing until WorldEmber begins (which is no issue as I've already hit my Novelember goal of 10k words ^^).

Pledge

I pledge to write 10,000 words of worldbuilding content for Inferncenem, Caelumen, Ysteria and Auxul. Should be manageable as I wrote over 9k words during Summer Camp ^^
