Althusian Sandibari

Althusian Sandibari have, in recent years, attached their loyalties primarily to Ilin, rather than to Althus the planet as a political entity. As such they are generally regarded as the most politically neutral of Sandibari. Picking up from the Althusians with whom they live and work, their particular dialect has evolved a sense of even formality, steering hard into softer sounds and more careful language. Like everyone else living on and around Althus they pride themselves more on politeness than directness, as a polar opposite to Mudeweian Sandibari. They find the Muxteran Sandibari virtually intolerable due to their hot-headedness, but are on good terms with the Albarian Sandibari and have worked to help them help the Albarians escape Stenza wrath.
Generally, Althusian Sandibari view Mudeweian Sandibari as unwise for their perceived attachment to the Stenza. They acknowledge the legitimacy of Stenza assistance in getting them into space in the first place, but feel the debt has long since been repaid and it is time to move on to other ventures. One of their later avenues has been information trading, hiring out their resistance to the Universal Translator to some of the highest bidders in the empire. As such Althusian Sandibari are the primary information dealers to most of the rich in the Nine Systems, of cultures with a concept of wealth and wealth as an ideal. Periodically, Stenza will also hire Althusian Sandibari if their own have missed something or they need a second opinion, but this has become less and less frequent since Raida's leadership and the rise of xenophobia within Stenza foreign policy.
Althusian Sandibari have a reputation for trading with anyone with money regardless of political ideals, which has earned some ire from their Muxteran and Mudeweian counterparts, who are currently deeply politically involved and both believe they are on the right side. The Althusian contingent has eschewed political sides entirely save for the above-noted case of helping out the Albarians. The Muxteran and Mudeweian contingents' idea that the Althusians are "on the wrong side by default" for refusing to choose and making their way by other means has become a sore point with Althusian Sandibari.
