Lord's Alliance

"Noble in name, Noble in deed, Noble in cause, Noble in creed."
  • The Pledge of the Lord's Alliance.
  •   The Lord's Alliance refers to a group of Lords who actively work with one another to govern their respective lands. Membership includes any who are accounted or (in the south only) elected officials, as one is given the opportunity to become a member by growth. One can choose to decline any participation in the Lord's Alliance without forgoing their official title, and instead will only answer to the governing Lord of their region.   The organization was first founded in the months preceding the Bastion Accords, in which the lords were chosen and the members of the new land divided. It was here all members of the Lord’s Alliance were founded, mainly as a method of making sure they are to promote the will and desires of the Feroxian Empire.   To become a member of the Lord’s Alliance one must meet the following criteria:
    • Become an elected or noble figure recognized by the governing lord of either House Rosetta or House Dolfore.
    • Have an honor score of 5 or Higher.
    • Be the elected official of a settlement that is officially recognized as a center of trade within the Alliance.
    • Be able to maintain order, and live within one’s residence for at least 2 years prior to consideration.
If any ofthe latter three come into question, the Lord will be subject to review and within 1d4 weeks will be determined if they can keep their status in the Lord’s Alliance or not.   Once one is inducted into the Lord’s Alliance, they gain the following:
    • 500-1000 GP stipend to spend upon the town’s infrastructure.
    • A SpanReed to maintain communication to all settlements close by.
    • Prestige and the honor of attending yearly council meetings, and the ability to promote new policies regarding the colony’s infrastructure.
    • Weekly salary of 50 GP per two days/150 GP per week.
    • Lowered costs of trade goods and the ability to oversee trade policies on their local town.
    • +2 to all charisma checks when engaging in trade deals, politics, or matters of debate or deal making. Additional +3 if its done within the Lord’s Alliance.
    • +3 to all intelligence checks regarding mercantile goods, political figures, and history of the Lord’s Alliance.
    • Becomes privy to trade routes and business dealings across the entire colony.

    Structure

The Lord’s Alliance has a Diarchic structure, in that the two House Leaders, as determined by the Bastion Accords, hold the ultimate sway barring the Emperor’s decision. The current two Houses holding dominion over the Lord’s Alliance are:
    • House Dolfore: Current Head Jonathan Ron Dolfore
    • House Rosetta: Current Head Frederick Ron Rosetta
These two divide their territory along the base of the Lordspine Mountains, with House Dolfore managing the Northern Half while House Rosetta manages the Southern Half.

    Culture

Those within the Lord’s Alliance are expected to live up to high expectations. Rather than a cost of living, their prestige comes directly from how well they govern their lands. There should be a great deal of camaraderie between the Lords, and on paper that’s how its determined, but in practice the Lords often have as many conflicting goals as they do conflating ones.

    Public Agenda

    1. MPromote the Empire’s goals and values within the new world.
    2. Organize and maintain order within the new world.
    3. Lead the populace through active engagement in their political climate.

    Territories

Territory comprises of mainly the Alloyus landmass. Though the natives have taken to calling the land Morado, Alloyus was chosen as a nod to the current Emperor.

    Military

The Lord’s Alliance does not have a standing Military, though certain members of the Alliance have trained militia from either the local ties to the Zygallic Church, Viajero, or Balthazar’s Legion.   Considering the land is still new, there have been some attempts to create a standing military in Alloyus, but resources and willing bodies are lacking.

    Religion

As with all loyal citizens of the Empire, everyone pays fealty to the Holy Zygallic Church.

Noble in name, noble in deed, noble in cause, noble in creed.

    Major Exports
Many exports to the Empire are raw materials. As materials for Magical Metals, Magical Lumber, and other such things are scarce in the Empire, Alloyus provides a brand new opportunity for the harvest of such materials.   Food stuffs such as coffee, refined sugar, and cotton are common exports, in addition to some ingredients or resources that cannot be found in the empire.
    Major Imports
The main import from the empire are people and spell components. While many of the Lords have different operations in place, they need manpower more than anything. Many lords put a lot of effort into making certain towns and areas enticing to potential immigrants.    The Lord’s Alliance is mainly behind the “Alloyus is a new Land” mentality.
