Session 2
At roughly 9:30pm, Berga Dustbrook entered the front door of The Godly Mice Inn and took a seat. She ordered a drink, her usual ale, and Feras Bolgee obliged. He soon followed up with a complimentary drink, and another soon after. Before she knew it, she was slightly more than drunk and that's when Typhon moved. He struck up a conversation with her, this one going much better than his last attempt to engage her in conversation. Typhon inquired about The Fool and any work that might be available. Still refusing to answer his questions directly, Feras led the Party and Burga into the kitchen, where she told them that they've got a job later that night and that she was going to meet the rest of the crew at midnight.
Midnight rolled around and the Party, with Berga leading them, traveled to a dimly lit alleyway in the southwest part of Silverward. There, Mathis Raferty waited for Berga alone, so naturally he was surprised when Typhon, Bloodbane, Sir Didymus, and Vigwalin arrived. The situation remained tense for a few minutes, while Berga attempted to explain that the Party was alright, but Mathis remained skeptical. Five bandits stepped out of the shadows at Mathis's command, arrows pointed at the Party. Typhon convinced Mathis that they were there for work, and eventually Mathis relented and decided to have them accompany him on the night's job: burglarizing the residence of a local merchant for a single item.
The Party and Mathis traveled to the mark's house which was empty at the time, and proceeded to enter it as quietly as they could. They searched carefully and quietly, lest one of the guards in the street become alerted to the strange activity. In the main room, under the floor boards, Typhon located a small chest containing what they were looking for: a magnificently crafted piece of jewelry. Their objective met, Mathis explained to the group that they're not in it for the money and the entire group returned to the alley.
Shortly after arriving at the alley, a half-elf woman arrived from the south, walked up to Bloodbane and slapped him across the face then expressed her joy at seeing him. This armed, blonde damsel was recognized by Bloodbane as being Jencerys Paren. She told Bloodbane about how she had hated him for years since he left her group in Elderburgh, because shortly after her brother had been killed in a job gone bad and then two members of their crew, Garark and Katlinn, were arrested. She had suspected it was Bloodbane, until she found out recently that it was Rafros all along. Rafros had been working undercover for The Sovereign's Shadow, and it was his information that led to their group's disruption. Jencerys went on to tell Bloodbane that eventually she moved to Silverward, where the rampant poverty and the cruel conditions of the refugees led her to create The Fool, a half-criminal - half-charitable organization. She thanked the Party for their help and even offered them membership in her organization. They politely refused, but instead offered to remain free lancers. When asked, Jencerys admitted to having possession of the necklace that Madelyn Lada was searching for, but refused to turn it over.
The Party decided to return to the inn empty handed, get some rest, and possibly set out for Hillfar the next day...
