Defences
Redford Keep is located on the western side of Elderburgh. The town grew up around the castle, as is the case in so many parts of the world. Redford Keep allegedly has a regular presence of the secretive Sovereign's Shadow organization, but there is no one willing to admit to it. The castle boasts nearly a battalion's worth of infantry.
Industry & Trade
Much of the city revolves around the logging industry, as that was the original purpose of the town when it was first established. Since then, carpentry, furniture making, and other secondary functions that revolve around the industry have taken root as the town has grown.
Elderburg sits on Pilcaster Lane and Somernach Road, both of which are used to connect the towns of the Empire's core to the frontier province of Paglary and the mining wealth of Silverward.

History
Redford Keep was initially built as a small wooden fort in 462 TAA near the ruins of a Phasnosh town whose name has been lost to history. The fort was initially named Easkerton Hold, after the lord of the area, and was originally built as a buttress against the various Phasn tribes in the region. Shortly after, several support structures such as a bowyer and a blacksmith were set up, which were then followed by a small temple. By 512 TAA, the population of the surrounding area had grown to a point that it could be considered a village. As the infrastructure in the area grew, so too did the population of the village.
Natural Resources
Elderburgh was initially established as a logging town on the border of the Huntcastle Woodland. As the years have gone by, however, the forest has receded due to logging operations and now much of the wood is harvested by Cardford and brought to Elderburgh. As the forest is just over 6 miles away, logging is still a major industry in the town and several carpenters and crafters have set up shop to support the business.
