Elliptical Order
The Elliptical Order is a religious and diplomatic outreach of the Eyes of the Void towards adherents of Rostran Esotericism and Unnamed Ovinex Religion based on some shared understanding of the nature of the Curved Time. The name of the Elliptical Order draws from a variety of sources, including the oval-shaped eyes of their ovinex fellows, the motions of the stellar spirits across the primeval sky in Stargazer lore, and the parent faiths' overarching Epicyclist philosophical alignment. Members of the Elliptical Order undertake comparative religious studies and syncretic religious practices in the hopes of unlocking the secrets of the unseen Celestial Realms that was obscured to the denizens of the Manifold Sky at the end of the Curved Time.
Foreign Relations
The beliefs of the Elliptical Order are unabashedly Epicyclist in nature, positing in the manner of its Stargazer parent organization that the universe abides a cosmological order that can be ascertained by observations of natural cycles ascribed by fate. This would put the Elliptical Order almost at spiritual antipodes with the Church of the Unexpected, but the two organizations seldom have reasons to conflict with one another dueto the small, moribund nature of the former, the cross-cultural dominance of the latter, and the relative lack of territorial overlap.
