Dire Wolves Attack
11th Moon, 735
Ziri, Ahroheim, and Skylar found themselves being attacked by six dire wolves.
Not long after Skylar had been escorted out of Vallaki by the town's guards, Ziri and Ahroheim joined the two. The three didn't know where Luca and Edmont were but presumed the two were still inside the town.
In the fight against the dire wolves, Ziri noticed that the dire wolves' behavior suggested they were more interested in slaying the three adventurers and not trying to kill them for food. Since Ziri and her companions had run into dire wolves before since they arrived in Barovia, she began to wonder if Strahd may be using the dire wolves as minions to attack unwanted visitors to his dark domain.
The fight was fierce. All three sustained wounds. One dire wolf was killed. Ziri nearly died but fortunately, Skylar healed her. Together, the three adventurers were able to rout the surviving dire wolves. The five surviving dire wolves fled into the dark, rainy night.
After Skylar healed Ziri, the three continued north following the town's wall. They were hoping to find Luca and Edmont soon and find a safe place to settle in for the night or risk more attacks from whatever creatures lurked nearby.
