CITADELIS

Citadelis is an incredibly large city that can be confusing to outsiders. Built in a complete circle, the large stone walls jutting from the ground protect the streets filled to the brim with shops and stores. In the very center, the tall and also circular tower of The Atithe Center rises higher than even the city walls. Running beneath the entire city is a large river, providing the citizens with fresh waters from wells places strategically around the streets. Larger establishments and homes even have their own private well for personal use. As for the layout of the city, shops are seemingly chaotically placed with very few streets actually able to hold the title of a street instead of an alleyway. Nevertheless, the city is still bustling with life and home of the proclaimed "best-of-the-best" artisans, potion makers, bakers, fortune tellers, and more. Prices in the city can be very high, making it only truly available to the more affluent citizens of Launtrel. The city prides itself on being the height of civilization and is heavily patrolled by the City Guard.

BRIEF HISTORY

Citadelis was one of the first capitals to be built when the migrants first came to Launtrel. Every citizen who decided to settle in Atithe worked to complete the city under the guidance of The Atithe Center, who started out as a small group of Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards. Because of this, Citadelis became the most prominent city in Launtrel and quickly built itself to be a hub for the best. When the city was finished being built the most prominent leaders in its construction was invited to live there and thus, became the higher class of Atithe.

Due to the image of being a utopia that the city has worked extremely hard to achieve and upkeep, anything that could disrupt that image was quickly and quietly taken care of before most citizens knew what was happening. Any rumors were and are quickly quelled by The Atithe Center's counter-intelligence. Therefor, the history of Citadelis has been written down as entirely peaceful and conflict free.

IMPORTANT PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS

Mayor Avlock Lulen: A male Harengon that has been Mayor of Citadelis for 10 years. He is a confident man that does not like to play around and is all business. He can be found either at his home at the Mayor's Mansion or City Hall.

The Atithe Center: A long standing and secretive organization that directed the building of Citadelis. They can be found in the center of the city in their large tower through their entrance by the Food Market.

DISTRICTS

Citadelis is a perfectly round city to promote the idea of balance. The city is divided into four Quarters, starting with the First Quarter to your left when you enter the city and moving in a clockwise direction to the Fourth Quarter.

• Entrance Plaza and Food Market: While this isn't necessarily a district, it is an important part of Citadelis. Entering the city, you are greeted with a large and beautiful fountain resting on intricate carvings around it on the street. The smell of a large Food Market instantly greets you, with hundreds stands of locals and travelers with any sort of food you may imagine. The entrance to The Atithe Center is at the end of the rows of vendors.
• The First Quarter: The most calm of all of the districts, this is where the most wealthy of citizens live in a neighborhood of small mansions. The City Hall, Citadelis Stables , and the City Guard can also be found here.
• The Second Quarter: Considerably the most affluent, this Quarter drips with luxury and wealth. It houses The Refla Theater, the Museum of Dark History, Refla's Art Gallery, Refla's Winery and Brewery, Refla's Hotel, Citadelis Bank, the Museum of Natural Magic, Lillian's Psychiatry , and Ranger's Ranged Weapon.
• The Third Quarter: This Quarter dictates the half of the city that is more friendly to the common citizen. It houses The Hall of Vegetation, Citadelis Outfitters , the Hall of Creatures, and Narka's Iron.
• The Fourth Quarter: This is the Quarter where most travelers from out city tend to stick to and congregate in. This Quarter hosts the Miie Observatory, Arcadia's Inn , Bily's Tavern, Grand Museum of All Artifacts, Tomes A'Million , Majestic Lady Enchantments , Minkit's Magical Trinkets , The Gold Owl , and Wandering Horse Stables.

  The capital city of Atithe is a very large, expansive city that has the charm of old stone buildings with the feel of being in the forest. The city is circular, and is surrounded by a towering stone wall. The streets are almost a maze, and can be confusing for outsiders. In the center is a large, cylinder shaped tower holding the Atithe Center, a renowned and prestigious organization of researchers, developers, and their security forces. A large array of shops and vendors can be found to sell any item a traveler may need. Magic and oddities shops are common, and weird and strange objects and obscure ingredients can be found hiding in these walls.
