Kingdom of Urale (Your- ale)

The kingdom of Urale formed with the unveiling of the Western Syndicate from hiding. Uliyo was the only emerging leader from the syndicate, as the others died via assassination or natural causes. Uliyo, after taking the crown, would only live for another 20 years.   Urale is considered an atheistic kingdom, forming out of frustration with both Riyael and the gods themselves. The exodus of Ghei Wyl and the razing of Mailes by the constructs served to inform Nim as to their beliefs. They still worship the gods, but focus on the material world, realizing that the gods can not be fully understood and that their plans may not serve mortals' best interests. Urale, on the other hand, went on to see the horrors that the Constructs from North Western Silse could bring. With Constructs being an extension of the gods (allegedly), the Western Elves came to see mortals at direct odds with the gods, as they only ever sent tribulations and restrictions to mortals. The people of Urale seek progress at all costs, forsaking gods so that they can sufficiently care for themselves. To assist with the control of this idea, the Feneyl family has always kept Urale staunchly isolationist.   While Western Elves only live to about the age of 40, their standards of living are not horrible. Given that they all have similar disabilities and constraints, their society is built around these limitations. Their advanced technology also allows greater insight into the world and offers greater educational opportunities than most other countries. Regardless of these benefits, it is not recommended that outsiders live within the borders of Urale, as they may not prove as resilient to the conditions that befall the natives. However, since little information passes in or out of Urale, it is unknown if this is truth or propaganda.

Mythology & Lore

The people of Urale believe in the same mythology as the Eastern Elves, but take different lessons from the stories. Western Elves believe that the world should be constructed in their minds' eye, much like the constructs or gods did. They do not believe themselves to be divine beings, but believe that their mortality should be held with great pride in contrast to the gods. Some, on the more extreme sides, believe gods to be physical beings much like animals, elves, and humans.   Regardless of the the ways the gods incarnate themselves, Westerners view gods as competitors and antagonists rather than divine creators.
