Fei Invaru (Fay In-varr-rue)

god of fertility

Across Cultures

Fei Invaru is the goddess of Summer, Spring, bloom, and fertility. Present in both the Augury and Elduri Pantheon, her interpretations are stark contrasts between each group. The Augury presents Fei Invaru as a storied character who struggles with overlapping familial and political relationships, eventually falling to eternal damnation for her actions rather than intentions. Eldurgrund, on the other hand, presents Fei Invaru as a force of nature, potentially motivated by the nation's intermittent seasons and ancestral connections to the Ohdaufeen religion.   Both perspectives acknowledge her villainous decisions, though the Augury focuses on her maternal nature and the conflict that rises from manipulative contemporaries, making her an allegory for the dangers of complicity. Elduri culture focuses largely on the mortal perspective, making Fei Invaru purely antagonistic as the bringer of competition in the natural world (though she is still preferable to Huereina, god of winter).

In Mythology

In the Augury interpretation of Fei Invaru, the tales of her familial relationship unspool into a cacophony of high drama and tragedy. Daughter to Chaimut, Fei was firstborn and essential for developing ecosystems in Laminarum shortly after it was discovered by the Ohdaufeen. Her father, who claimed the domain of time, eventually began experiencing visions of a grandson with the domain of fate. Ever the callous opportunist, Chaimut began guiding his fellow gods to result in his control over said grandson- this would include deciding the boy's father.   Chaimut eventually determined that Mitos, his nephew, would be the boy's father. While Fei Invaru made several advances at her father's command, but she was eventually intercepted by Mitos's father, Bailum, who demanded she stop advancing on Mitos. While unfortunate for Chaimut, he eventually conspired a plan to subvert Bailum.   Along with his brother Taopin, Chaimut would trick Bailum into a battle with Milin Orphi, secluding him from the world for generations. In Bailum's absence, Fei would advance to console Mitos. Eventually, a relationship bloomed, and the god Rel Eteisus was born.   Rel Eteisus was quickly apprehended by Chaimut and imprisoned, only allowing occasional visitation by Fei Invaru; the actions drove Mitos further into depression, now missing his father and son. As Rel Eteisus himself grew demoralized at his place in the universe, Fei Invaru would show him Laminarum to inspire hope, resulting in his escape.
This is the right column.
Rel Eteisus became infatuated with revenge and fell into the ranks of Milin Orphi, determined to make the Ohdaufeen suffer for his contrived existence. The ensuing war led to his death at the hands of Mitos and Ygaul. The conflict was rightfully blamed on Chaimut and in his humiliation, he sired Huereina, god of winter with the desire of winnowing all that Fei held dear. When even Huereina failed to suppress Fei to his standards, Chaimut banished both to the planes of Summer and Winter.
