Chaimut's Fall
Chaimut's Fall is celebrated on the first of day of Chaiber. Aptly named, this holiday occurs in the first month of Fall, but the name also alludes to the period that Chaimut rests from his eternal flight across the planes of Summer and Winter. Throughout most of the year, Chaimut is unable to tend to the cycles he has created, leaving other entities such as Ygaul to manage them in his stead. However, for this one day a year, Chaimut returns to his Temporal Court. Those who can divine into the past or future gain exceptional boons on this day, making it an anticipated event for the Augurs.

Chaimut's Flight
Chaimut, Ohfjuren brother and god of time, once held a position in the High Court of Perri. Ruled over by Bailum as the judge, Chaimut served in the role of sentencer. Chaimut ability to divine outcomes and access memories made him apt for the job. Unfortunately for Bailum, Chaimut has long worked his agenda regardless of the needs of the other Ohdaufeen. As such, Chaimut would give inaccurate sentence recommendations as they fit his own needs. Further, he would promise shorter sentences to the accused in exchange for entering his servitude. Amongst these individuals were rumored to be Kolos, servants of Thalis Avaloth, and an unnamed individual known as the "Maestro." While these were the most notable tales of Bailumist scripture, there's no telling how many individuals entered Chaimut's servitude during his reign as sentencer. Upon Taopin unveiling the Chaimut's manipulation, an emergent hearing was held in the Court of Perri. Chaimut claimed innocence, though several witnesses confirmed the claims of Taopin, particularly Ithitar who were presently incarcerated and took deals with the Ohfjuren to limit their sentence. The greatest among these was Kolos, who received diplomatic immunity and egress back to Dolent Asperity if he presented his truth before the court. By the end of the proceedings, Chaimut was declared guilty. With no sentencer available, Bailum damned him to eternal punishment (with intermittent periods of respite). The punishment in question would see his back flayed into a pair of wings and the ordination of an interplanar task. For the remaining duration that Chaimut oversaw the domain of time, he was forced to take the reigns of Summer and Winter's revolution around Laminarum. With his flight, he would pull the two connected planes, ensuring that every portion of the land would experience the transition of seasons. Many theorize that this causes the change of seasons in Laminarum as well, though this is subject to question after The Silence.Celebration
The celebration for Chaimut's Fall lasts two days: one to prepare for divination and one to take action. In reality, the preparation phase often takes weeks or months for practitioners of divination magic. For the general public, however, the first day (30th of Naiber) is dedicated to Chaimut's arrival. To prepare, clerics read the scripture of his greatest feats and woes to those who attend sermons. Citizens light sky lanterns so the great timekeeper may quickly find Laminarum and answer their prayers. Within the Ohfjuren temples, charcoal pendulums swing upon parchment floors; when it completes an oscillation, Chaimut is said to be watching and listening to their prayers. Typically, the charcoal pendulums complete an oscillation by dawn on the 1st of Chaiber. Some have compared the holiday to wandering carnivals, in that "most time is spent in line." True to the quote, the streets are lined with civilians hoping to offer sentimental belongings and receive insight into their history (and often past generations that were forgotten). Given the boons granted to diviners on this day, priests can assist the public substantially, providing a valuable glimpse into the power of Chaimut. When nightfall approaches, the effects of Chaimut's presence wear thin. The first of Chaiber is without a moon in the sky, providing the timekeeper an opportunity to flee Laminarum without attracting ire from Heien (for the acts performed in Vorehem's Voyage.Boons
