Arriving in Nalkon Report

The airship is landing in a large courtyard area in the outer bailey of the main castle. Adaon realises that it would be a good idea for him to do a good drawing of the city form the air at some point in time.
As the ship is landing, they see that there is a small honour guard assembling, barely in time for the guests arrival. The Chujarai are to stay with the ship, not only for the safety of the ship, but also for their own safety, as the group is unfamiliar with local customs. As a precaution Adaon also casts "reflect projectile" on @Cyren and Ivan . As they are introduced to the diplomat, he asks if they would prefer mounts of a carriage, to which they state that they prefer to walk. He is taken aback, as it's almost a km to the castle proper.
Once they are a little over 500 metres along the way, it's obvious that the diplomat is getting tired. Once they arrive in the court the diplomat rests for at least a full minute and then they are announced. The king waves them forward. About half way to the king and queen two guards step forth and ask for their weapons. The diplomat apologizes and says, "This is customary, my lords, please forgive us."
Once they are before the king, he says, "Welcome. How may we be of service?"
"We are seeking a person of importance who is difficult to find. We did want to make our presence known and give the regards of our Queen."
"For whom do you search."
"Collin Monk."
"Ah, well, we have heard of this Collin Monk as a member of the church. We will put you in contact with a bishop who should be able to help."
They are then given rooms and their weapons. The diplomat, Grant Diplomat of Nalkon, follows along and has two page boys with him to run messages for the group.
Cyren and Adaon spend the afternoon in the library. Cyren finds a treatise on jousting and gets 4 hours of training added to his lance skill. As they are leaving he sees an interesting book called "Bone Blades" that has pictures of strange swords, skeletal figures, and is wrapped in runes.
During the meal Cyren and Adaon notice an extremely beautiful child, unnaturally so, who is extremely abashed and keeps her head down, not interacting with anyone when she serves them. This is unusual in that other servants are constantly talking and interacting either with each other or the patrons.
Through much listening and basically spying on the other people here Cyren eventually overhears someone bragging about his Fey wife and the beautiful child he has. However, he has to control the child through magical means, which is unfortunate. Cyren finds the child and convinces her to show him the gardens. Through carefully listening to her he realizes that she talks to the plants and that they talk back. Cyren tells her that he speaks with horses, which delights her. Her name is Tanyth Silverhair. She reveals that her mom cannot leave their property, but knows all the plants and some of the animals. After a while her anklet flare and she must leave. Cyren thinks this is her father calling her.
After she disappears, Adaon uses "Nose of the Bloodhound" to follow her father's scent. They have left the castle and boarded a wagon. Cyren, Adaon, and Catalina follow. They learn that the mother is a dryad and that her tree is part of the growing house that he has. They also learn that the man is using his daughter to steal from the castle.. small things like coins left on a table by a nobleperson, silverware, and other small items of value.

After breakfast the group is taken to the chapel where they are introduced to a priestess who talks to them about Collin Monk. When Adaon enters the temple, he feels a tingle. Cyren is permitted to go read the histories of the great war of the Malgrii Empire. This will take him a full 24 hours, including sleep.
Meanwhile Adaon goes to the entrance to the catacombs. They run into a ghoul pack and make a deal with the greater ghoul. They are to bring the ghouls a full carcass of a cow and the ghouls will leave them to go into the catacombs safely. Adaon buys one for 45 blun, and gives the farmer an extra 10 to keep it until the next night for him.
Later, Adaon goes back to the castle and spends some time socializing and even singing with the local minstrels.
Once Cyren is finished reading the books, they discuss a plan, and Cyren allows Adaon to look into Cyren's memory to see as much of the books as he can. They then make a plan and equip themselves to go into the Nalkon catacombs.
