Meruti Iceclaw

Father Meruti Iceclaw (a.k.a. Rudy)

"Meruti is a good guy. He's the local priest, you know. Don't let that fool you; man's an absolute shark with that card deck.   "Don't worry too bad if you lose your shirt, though. He'll donate half of it to a good cause. O'course, the other half goes into his wardrobe."   ~Senbish Wildbone, proprietor of the Wildbone Inn

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Father Meruti was born and raised in Alcedene. His mother was single, and she never told him who his father was. She was a devout Deminite, and raised him strongly in the faith.   His Becoming was an ordeal, and he almost failed it. He was to deliver a package of goodwill to Fort Hopewell, but was waylaid, robbed, and captured by Greenskin scouts. He was their prisoner for more than a week, during which time he resisted torture. He finally 'broke', but instead of giving them the information that they wanted he let slip that his locket was blessed by Agasyl and would make any wearer incredibly wealthy. His captors fell for the ruse, and immediately began killing each other for the worthless bauble. In the confusion, he escaped his bonds and finished his delivery. He then accompanied a ranger team to hunt down and exterminate what goblins were left. It wasn't long before he was able to take his mother's locket back from the corpse of the 'victor.'   He fell in with the aging priest of Alcedene, eventually apprenticing and replacing the old man. Decades later, he's still a priest without much of a flock, holding prayer services in the homes of his parishioners.

Meruti has a decades-long torrid affair with Zildorkane Chestthorne, but no children and no sign of them ever getting married.
