Pyroeis

Pyroeis is NOT a planet as we know it. Shaped something like a donut cut in half longways, Pyroeis is a circle approximately 10 million miles in radius, capped by a dome made of an unknown, bone-like material, supported by a solid metal spire in the middle.   Set in the dome, called the Firmament, large, self lit gems provide light at night. During the day, Light is provided by the Burning Palace, a realm of its own approximately 100 miles in radius flying about 3000 miles above the midline of the ring. Flying around with the Burning Palace, at a slowly lower level are the "moon realms," the Silver Garden and the Night Arena.   Pyroeis is inhabited by many humanoid creatures, including Elves, Orcs, Gnomes, and Dwarves.   The area outside the dome is rolling chaos for the most part, but in it are fantastical realms of their own. Some of these are ruled over by elemental lords, devils, angels, and stranger creatures. Under Pyroeis lie the Fields of Dust, where the souls of the dead go to be judged and sent to their next life. the mechanism of this rebirth is not well understood by the living, as it is almost impossible to reach the deadlands below.   Pyroeis has 5 major continents: Fiblis, Dazoa, Autevall, Trabura, and Iahon. Dazoa is on the Inner Ring, where Trabur inhabits the Outer Ring. Autevall, Fiblis, and Iahon cross the Midline, with Autevall and Iahon mostly heading inward, and Fiblis heading outward.

Ecosystem

Forests, jungles, tundra, deserts; all the types of environment that we are familiar with are present on Pyroeis, with warmer climates near the midline, and colder environments near the Firmament and the Great Spire.
