Midline

A circle about 5 million miles in radius described as the midpoint between the Great Spire and the Firmament. This is the equivalent of Pyroeis' equator.

Geography

The midline is technically the highest point on the bulge of Pyroeis' ring. most of its length is ocean, but where it crosses land it is the hottest part of the world.

Ecosystem

Deserts and jungles make up the majority of the land that the midline crosses, but some high mountains also lie along its length. a wind crossing from east to west is believed to be caused by the circling of the Flying realms, primarily the Burning Palace.

Ecosystem Cycles

Because of the following wind, the east sides of continents and mountain ranges bordered by bodies of water are usually jungles, where the west sides are usually deserts.

Localized Phenomena

The following wind is unique to the midline and is a cause of much of the weather and ecosystem formation.

Fauna & Flora

Many lizards and other cold-blooded creatures such as lizardmen call the area of the midline home. Desert plants are common on the west side of the mountain ranges crossing the midline, with cactuses and succulents being common. on the east side of the ranges, jungle trees hide birds insects. and other creatures from constant rains.

Tourism

As the warmest part of the rings, the area around the midline is a destination for those with the resources to reach it.
