The dwarven village of Bholgalor lies nestled between a mountain range and lake of the same name. Led by its benevolent ruler, Gilthur Deepdelver, the village has enjoyed centuries of prosperity as the mining and smithing hub of the Kingdom of Sorrano. The lake and mountains afford the dwarves here an almost impenetrable defensive position, sparing them from the wrath and ruin that others in the kingdom have suffered during past invasions. The very same lake provides shipping access from the Village of Bholgalor through the Town of Blackburn, up the Heart River through the Village of Langdale and the Village of Millfield, finally arriving in the Capital City of Kord and to ports beyond. Nearly all of the dwarves of Bholgalor have only ever known peace and prosperity in their wonderful, little village.
Demographics
The village of Bholgalor is almost exclusively populated by dwarves.
Government
Bholgalor is ruled by Gilthur Deepdelver. He is aided in his rule by various members of the Deepdelver clan.
Defences
Bholgalor boasts mighty natural defenses in the form of mountains to its west and a lake to its east. Beyond that, many mighty dwarven warriors reside in the village.
Industry & Trade
Bholgalor has an extensive mining operation and trades in all of the fruits from that operation, including raw materials, weapons, armor, and jewelry.
Infrastructure
Bholgalor is renowned the kingdom over for its mining operations in the nearby mountains. All manner of ore, gems, and jewels are shipped from the village's port to the rest of the kingdom via Bholgalor Lake and the sprawling river system that connects every other settlement in the kingdom. The village also boasts excellent smiths and jewelers. Many an adventurer has made the journey to Bholgalor seeking finer arms and armor. An extensive cave system to the north of the village used to be part of the mining operation, but in recent years it has been reclaimed by natural and unnatural creatures, forcing the dwarves to move their operations elsewhere. The village also boasts its fair share of dining establishments, and the wealth of its inhabitants affords those establishments with the opportunity to import the finest food and drink from all over the kingdom and beyond.
Assets
Bholgalor is the wealthiest settlement per capita in the entire kingdom, boasting massive stockpiles of everything from common ores to precious gems and metals to exquisite arms, armor, and jewelry. Whether a person is looking for raw materials or the finest crafted items in the kingdom, Bholgalor has something for just about anyone, no matter their budget.
Guilds and Factions
The Order of the Silver Hammer, a crafting guild, makes its headquarters in Bholgalor.
Architecture
It is required that every building in the village be constructed of stone. Flammable materials are utterly forbidden from being used in the construction of any structures.

Bholgalor lies between a mountain range and lake of the same name, with the mountains to the west and the lake to the east of the village.
Natural Resources
Ore, stone, gems, and jewels are mined in great quantities from the nearby mountains.
