A nameless city

Being one of the oldest cities in the country, it's considered historical even if nothing world changing has ever happened here. The poorest buildings and streets, as well as the well maintained center of the city, still have several characteristics from the old days, while new buildings and trends can see everywhere else.
The majority of families here are descendants of European and Natives that had forget their root in favor of their current, mixed culture in which some beliefs seem contradictory. Even people with other origins don't really care about their past, and the newest trend and subcultures coexist with the local tradition.
There are many visitors that won't stay long, usually business people from distant regions, and driver from the close port city.
Once in a while somebody moves in, but not many outsiders know that this is a good place to find, improve, or waste any abilities you may have—including Magic, but regulations on that are an entirely different matter that has nothing to do with this city that don't know or care about it.

Districts

There is a well know distinction between three different areas:

Original buildings

Old buildings that had been renovated coexist with modern ones that often try to follow the same classic style of their older neighbors.
While some of them were originally houses, the big majority are now public spaces, for culture or entertainment, or government offices.
Some relevant buildings located here are the Town Hall, the Public Library, the Natural museum, and some popular restaurants and bars like the Iron Mountain.

Working class sector

The largest portion of the city is where most people lives and works. There are different social levels and subcultures in this city, but they are not organized geographically. Most try to live close to their jobs, if they have the chance, and the offices, commerce and factories were build thinking on the closeness with the original owners home, the business partners, clients and suppliers, or to the means of transport if those where required.
If anything there is a notorious distinction between the oldest buildings in the north of the original buildings, and the newest ones in the east, but that's mostly in the architecture.
The most important buildings in this area are the Public University, the Entrepreneurs Market, public hospital, police (& fire) station and the New Art Museum.

Whealty Residences

Not every rich person lives in the south of the city, and there are a few middle class buildings for those who work with them or own buildings they frequent.
A not-plot-related hotel, some private hospital and the Meadows College are the most well known buildings here.

Industry & Trade This is a commercial city, with a quite diverse industry based in resources that they import from neighboring towns. They export art, clothes, tools, and even food to several places all over the country. Tourism Giving their old history and being close to a mountain forest, there is place for tourism in the city, but nobody is much interested in it. Tourist can choose from a few hotels and cozy inns, or try their luck in the forest after visiting the Market for supplies. Other than that, they could see all that there is too see in the city in no more than two days.
