Public Library

It wouldn't be entirely true to say that this place used to be crowded before the invention of smartphones, but it was certainly less empty. People of all ages would be in and out.   This days, is mostly those too old for technology and the occasional student that doesn't really want to be here. Some of the frequent visitors prefer it that way, thought.   Occasionally, you will see more movement, due to the meetings of some readers club or the celebration of a cultural event. Those things keep the library alive, perhaps, but the librarians aren't exactly happy with them, and keep and eye on anything and anyone that may be considered a threat for the books or the silence. Some of the study, reading or writing groups started here are soon forced to find a new home or meet an early end.

Alterations

The building has always served culture one way or another, even its architecture was once an art novelty. For that reason, no visible alterations are allowed.   Nevertheless, when reparations are needed, the materials are often replaced with modern ones, sometimes because the originals aren't available or affordable, but also because it's a chance to include something more solid or durable.

Everybody was firm in their opinions: Alan thought it wasn’t logical to say that Evil Aaron could create living beings, Ana felt it was the cheesiest thing ever—worse than an undeserved happy ending—and one of the librarians said that the library was no place for this kind of behavior so they should leave.
