    Era beginning/end

The age of gold and steel is characterized by a major divide in technology; where most races had access to plate armor, swords, bows, and crossbows while races like the majolkkrat and dwarves have primitive guns and more advanced technology. It is also defined by a generally casual disposition to neighboring countries without polarized politics. Cultural differences and debates were settled over a pint.

    The darkening of the isles
    Population Migration / Travel

The period that led to the gradual downfall of the sun elven kingdom. Within this period, the sitting king Dhescammi allowed dusk elves into the kingdom and watched as they gradually began taking away rights from the local sun elves until they were nothing more than slaves. While Sylvia was training with the Gildas family during this period, as soon as she managed to defeat her master in training, she immediately threw herself on top of helping slaves escape. She was caught and imprisoned and after 20 long years of the dusk elves attempting to break her, she managed to escape to the nearby continent of Dracholm, having to leave her lover Rychel behind.   After the princess's departure, the kingdom fell into full decay until the governmentals managed to retake it.   During this time, the following happened as well:   -A serial killer known simply as the wasp killed over 198 soldiers   -Elite knight Lidy Gildas was broken and corrupted into becoming the most lethal soldier of the Joint Empire Alliance, proving herself by murdering Rychel and Rhalyf, her siblings.   -Sylvia's knight Gaimlath was broken into corruption as well.   -Sylvia's knight Azaria escaped the island somehow

    Operation sunrise
    Military action

A new military army was formed! This time instead of defending our own country, we'll be paying the Joint Empire Alliance a visit. The good Sylvia of the immortals has tales of how those brutes are making her people suffer in her recovered diary, and the government has decided they can not sit down and watch such cruelty go unpunished. Levying the finest troops from the iron union, Drosden fleet, Dracholmian union and republic of ancient races into a new army simply named the union expeditionary force. Our union boys will show those traitors that if they think they can do as they please, they're sorely mistaken.   Unfortunately it just took a long time for everyone to realize how dire the situation was.

    Military action

Having their supply lines ravaged by Kat's pirates, the imperials were forced to take the fortress city Aergique, the capitol of the Bylian dwarves who they up until now have been able to avoid well enough. Severely outgunned, the imperials were forced to storm a fortress city specifically designed to force enemies to walk several miles through automatic turret fire to get inside the city.   In the battle, the imperials lost a third of their army as well as one of their top-performing generals. This crushing defeat signalled a turning point in operation sunrise.

    The iron occupations
    Military action

The fall of the alliance inspired insurgency in their now decimated homeland. To quell the rebellions the iron union began occupying conquered territory, or so they said. The iron union occupiers were harsh to the locals, effectively demoralizing efforts at uprisings and establishing communistic puppet governments that were sympathetic to the greater iron union collective.

    The iron blow
    Military action

Having freshly allied the iron union who were eager to fight and facing the renegades assuming heavily defensive positions in the Chev’ronian capitol Canusium, the governmentals gave the iron union the green light to take Canasium, unaware of how cruel the iron union was. The iron union’s soldiers were specifically given orders to beat any enemy they could catch to death with their bare hands simply to reduce knife wear. While the iron union was sanctioned later, their cruelty served as a counter tactic to the renegades heavily playing on their morale and inspiring millions, both civilian and soldier alike to defect.

    The silent genocide
    Disaster / Destruction

Following the collapse of the joint empire alliance, civilizations had to be rebuilt as soon as possible. Luckily, the dusk elves (and renegades) had a rebel government ready to be established. The economic might of the imperial humans allowed them to recover rather quickly from the war too. The Veer orcs, however, being known for their brutal, inhumane treatment towards their captives, had neither.    They were forced to reform while under constant threat of being retaliated against. They were scared into forming a government sympathetic to the Iron Union’s policies (communism), but that still did not protect them from the colossally high murder rates. Veer civilians were getting murdered in the streets by their former captives while the puppet governments turned a blind eye. Only once Veer population went down by almost 67% did the government end this short era of deregulation.

    The war on divinity
    Military action

The day that the mortals decided to wage war on one of the vanguard. Following a pattern of reckless and frankly malevolent behavior from most of the vanguard, the immortals declared war on the deity Kragen. The other vanguard watched in fear as the mortals gained the ability to destroy them and waged war on their former subjects. The war would last hundreds of years and cost millions of lives, but after the dust settled the mortals were victorious. The only two gods to willingly surrender were Kyther, the god of nature and Illinea, the goddess of life.   After the war on divinity, the immortals would direct their own fate, but the vanguard were not enough. Kragen's dying breath carried the name Mukor and most other vanguards either mocked the immortals or warned them of creatures far more powerful lurking out there: Great old ones.
