    "I'm older than your universe.
Time is not my curse.
My knowledge is almost endless.
But it's not enough, I'm relentless.
From god to mortal, they all cower.
As with each contract, I increase my power.
I can make your dreams come true, just remember the toll.
Sign right there, I'll own your soul."
-Chant used by Zartors cult

Info Snippet

"Some worship him, most fear him. Zartor the Infinite is a malicious entity older than our very universe. Because this is not his home, he doesn't have to abide by our natural laws, which makes him extremely hard to deal with. He has a wide variety of anomalous abilities that make him the most powerful being in the universe. His weapon of choice is the deal, which he has used to scam god and mortal into doing his bidding." - Civil Protection Agency files   "Zartor is the historical enemy of the immortals and the galactic council. Although he is a universal threat recognized by almost every space faring factions (especially the ones originating from anomalous planets), he has only been defeated once, and it was on Jeslore. His connection to Jeslore is further cemented by the fact it is the most anomalous planet on record, and owning it would effectively allow him to become fully self-sustained." - Hitch-hikers guide to Jeslorian history   "I'm the best antagonist a franchise could ask for!" - Zartor himself

Divine Domains

Zartor is considered the manifestation of evil in many religions of the planets that have more or less repelled him or are still in the process of fighting him off. Even in guardian's faith, he is named "he who unites heroes" in reference to how it is imperative that the only way to stop him is union. But then in other religions, especially on planets where he has been successful or more benign he is considered a benevolent god who is to be loved and obeyed. In reality, Zartor is just an entity that is trying to keep from burning out, and he does not get any validation from being worshipped, although he does find it pleasant to have people worship him instead of trying to fight him every now and again. His worship and summoning is predominately banned throughout the universe for fairly obvious reasons.

Physical Description

Body Features

Zartor is a relatively short humanoid figure composed out of a jet black negative gravity "liquid". His head is large and round and constantly has black bubbles dripping out of it, that form with eyes of their own. These eyes normally just twitch and look around before popping, but whenever Zartor means to accentuate an emotion or a mood, he will take direct control over them (I.E use them to stare a person straight into the eyes). He typically floats instead of walks and can do surprisingly high speeds. Zartor has a single large eye that is made of "crude lineart". Much like the eyes on his bubbles, it's projected over his head and not actually an organ that is inside his head. The same goes for his mouth, which is also "drawn" over his head and usually depicts a toothy grin. Notably, his mouth doesn't move when talking. Instead, his mouth mostly serves to indicate mood.   While he's typically short, about the size of a late teen, he does have the ability to radically change his size whenever he so pleases.

Special abilities

Zartors most powerful ability comes from the fact he does not belong in our universe and thus does not have to follow our natural laws. He can change to an ethereal form at will to completely ignore any sort of physical damage thrown at him, he can copy anomalous properties of anything standing in front of him, and he essentially makes his own rules to follow. His most important and powerful ability will always be that he doesn't just store a beings' life force and power in a contract for later use, but that he can combine several contracts into a bundle, allowing him to ignore his own rules as well. He can also shape-shift himself or apply perfect disguises to any of his minions, further increasing his ability to trick people into signing contracts. His disguise is near perfect and the voice is matched perfectly, the only way to really tell if it's Zartor or not is that he often slips up and uses words consistent with his own accent rather than the accent of the person he is impersonating. Lastly, he can read into the future of people in front of them, which is something he often uses something he tries to sell. His favorite detail is usually being able to see when and how someone dies, which is where one of his popular catchphrases comes from. When he closes a deal, he will typically leave his partner with, "Hey! Thanks for the bargain! See you on [date] after you [cause of death]!"

Apparel & Accessories

Zartor always dresses in business formal ("sigma chique" as he likes to call it) which is consistent with a successful businessman, an aesthetic he seems to be a big fan of. By default, he always wears a grey pinstripe suit with a trench coat style jacket. He prefers red ties that accessorize well with his long red cloak, something he wears more as a statement of power rather than a fashion statement. He also always wears a napkin in his chest pocket.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Zartor is an enemy of all life in the universe. Not because he seeks to destroy it or even harm it, he seeks to control it. Worst of all, he is not even seen as an enemy by all because he does not take control by force. He has everyone willingly sign it away. He is also near omnipotent, present wherever he wants to be, typically wherever there are souls to harvest.   When Zartor was born is not known, but it is known that he is older than our universe. Zartor is a cosmic void spawn, an extremely powerful type of entity that normally resides in the space between dimensions, where their task is to return lost travellers home before they burn up. Cosmic void spawns when at home can move at unimaginable speeds, which is often high enough to break a certain time and space threshold, leading them to end up in random adjacent dimensions. Zartor ended up in ours. Cosmic void spawns are technically mortal but unlike anything else that time grinds into dust, cosmic void spawns don't decay, they burn up. Unfortunately, Zartor had found a way to fuel himself: life force. All organic life has a sort of fuel, and with all non-anomalous life that fuel is a complex biochemical process driven by a certain force. There are many words for it: Souls, life force, karma, nature, biochemistry, and many more. Zartor consumes this force and uses it to extend his own life.   His soul harvesting campaign eventually brought him to Jeslore, a planet that may be one of the most inherently anomalous in the universe. Over time Zartor had discovered that due to the complex inner workings of planets, they too counted to him as living objects and that when he gained control over them, he could digest them over time to keep his fire burning bright. The more anomalous a planet was, the better it served as fuel for him. So when he eventually did find Jeslore, controlling it became his top priority.   Not only had Zartor discovered that planets could serve as fuel for him, he also discovered that this universe has a set of natural laws that he as a visitor (or intruder) was free to totally ignore or more accurately was free to create his own rules to live by. Moreover, and perhaps the nail in the coffin for his future, was that he discovered the true extent of his power. He was already equipped with powers rivalling that of gods, but what really cemented his place at the top of the cosmic food chain was his copy ability. When something signed away their soul to him, they did not just sign away their soul, they also signed away their knowledge, abilities and power. Moreover, Zartor could call upon these contracts later and combine them to become even more powerful, perhaps unstoppable. But only temporarily. With this soul ability, and the power to directly copy the powers of anyone in front of him should he be forced into a fight, has seen to it that over the eons he had amassed an incredible arsenal of souls. He had anything from gods to mortals doing his bidding all over.   Zartor had his sights set on Jeslore, and began making the necessary preparations. His actions did not go unnoticed, however. His exploits were noticed and the newly formed Dracholmian Union dispatched 6 of their finest warriors to stop him: The Immortals. Tower Charlot, Viktor Larsvor, Sylvia Sunshard, Blaze Crimson, Klaut Rosefield, and Spectre the reaper travelled all the way to his hideout, and although they were not the first to try and take down Zartor, they were the first to succeed. Zartor was defeated by Tower in a match, and Tower succeeded where others had failed not by strength but by loyalty to his friends and to Dracholm. Zartor made him an offer, promised that he could give him everything he wanted, revive his friends, bring back his family, and give him all the wealth he could dream of. It was not a trick, Zartor had every intention of fulfilling his end of the bargain if Tower would just lay down his arms and walk away. He refused, and fought Zartor until the very end. Tower pinned him down as his stronghold collapsed. Giving his life to protect everything he had left, but more importantly to honour everyone he had lost.   Zartor was assumed dead for centuries, especially since the practice of summoning was strictly outlawed in all controlled territory. In reality, Zartor had just escaped. The loss had taken a lot out of him, and he had to recharge quickly, so for the time being he set his sights on other planets. He still swore that he would one day own Jeslore. Zartor would use his time away from Jeslore to collect more soul contracts, so he could try again. He wanted to have enough contracts so that no one, not even the immortals, would be able to stop him. During his hiatus, he got the attention of several intergalactic organizations, who caught onto his pattern of taking over planets with the use of charisma and manipulation. He made a lot of new enemies, but in the end none of them had what was needed to stop him.   He finally reappeared thousands of years later, and ended up succeeding in briefly taking control over Jeslore following an imminent world eater invasion. He offered to destroy the world eaters, but he needed to be in direct control over Jeslore to do so, but he lied and never rescinded his control and had to be put down by the neo immortals, who had recently disbanded. Klaut Rosefield passed away shortly after Zartor took control, bringing a definite end to the original immortals. His dying wish was a plea for Percy to reassemble the neo immortals and free Jeslore from Zartors reign. Evil may take control, but it's important that heroes rise up to stop them, and the neo immortals are Jeslores only hope of taking Jeslore back from Zartor.

Gender Identity

Zartor has no biological gender, but generally presents himself as male but will take on a more feminine role if it helps him seal a deal. His body is made out of a jet black, negative gravity liquid so gender does not apply to him.

Sexuality

Zartor is incapable of developing romantic feelings.

Intellectual Characteristics

As the oldest being in our universe, Zartor is naturally also one of the most knowledgeable. What makes him more dangerous in addition to all of his powers is that he is not lacking in wisdom and intelligence either. He's unimaginably adept at using his vast sum of knowledge to manipulate people he wishes to have work for him, which is exactly how he managed to trick gods that used to be of a food chain rank above him into being his slaves. His manipulative nature, immense knowledge and high charisma essentially earned him a spot of dominant galactic being. Something interesting about Zartor is that he is not a psychopath or a sociopath. Zartor is capable of feeling the full spectrum of emotions (he will never admit it, but he is terrified of death) from fear to joy. He rarely feels genuine sadness, but occasionally mentions that the constant efforts to weigh on him if he's having a bad day. In a fashion not too dissimilar to his mortal enemy, he is very much driven by his sense of humour. Zartor loves laughing and joking around, has specifically chosen a corporate aesthetic because he enjoys it himself and no other reason.

Morality & Philosophy

Zartors philosophy is and has always been one of business. He'll always pay something it's worth whether the seller likes it or not, and is not above driving a hard bargain. His morality also partially shines a light on his aversion to violence, as it's a lot more effort than it's worth. Above everything else, Zartor, with quite literally an unlimited amount of storage space, is fiercely against wasting product. There are creatures in the universe capable and known for destroying entire planets. Zartor will do everything in his power to contain creatures like that (surprisingly, often lending his knowledge to the watchers agency) to make sure any potential wares don't get destroyed. Once he owns something, he quickly loses interest in it, as he still does view souls and planets as little more than fuel to keep himself burning. In fact, his offers to protect against existential threats is how Zartor regularly ends up in control of planets.   Zartor is fairly careless when it comes to actually ruling his conquered territories, and lets people do whatever while he digests the life force of the planet and everyone on it. He's not necessarily cruel but isn't a moral beacon either, although he does find amusement in the suffering of people when it comes from bureaucratic misery. Zartor actually invented bureaucracy and often purposefully designs it to be as convoluted and confusing as possible for no reason other than to make life hard for the people having to deal with it.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Originally, Zartor was motivated by the will to live, as life force served as fuel to extend his own life. He has reached a point now however where he's doing it for fun or because he knows nothing else. Although as long as he doesn't control Jeslore, he will continuously have to rely on lesser planets to stay burning.

Likes & Dislikes

Zartor is a big fan of needlessly convoluted and redundant bureaucracy (in fact, he may have invented it) and his version of the afterlife is exactly that: a painfully bland office with only broken printers, so he can force his minions to make copies manually. He thoroughly enjoys making life miserable for others without having to actually hurt them. He also obviously loves a good deal and while he's ultimately self-serving always respects those with negotiating skills and will often humour people when they're trying to barter with him, but it's very rare they actually succeed. His mood is always significantly improved whenever he closes a lucrative deal.   Zartor also keeps his own mood up by constantly cracking jokes. He enjoys a good, well-timed pun and is generally into modern meme culture (although he doesn't show it as much as someone like Tower would). He's also a sports fan and can typically be found watching sports broadcasts and interviews whenever he is in the office. He finds it hard to pick a favourite, but he most consistently tunes in to baseball, American football, and ice hockey. If it involved raw force and borders on wrestling, it's likely Zartor is into it. In fact, he also typically watches wrestling programming. In line with his general stance on cruelty, Zartor will often wander around the office and enjoy some sports programming on the many tube televisions scattered throughout his office void, and take bets.   Zartor is also very creative, but for all the wrong reasons. He will typically create useless products just to throw them into negotiations to "sweeten the deal". All the products he creates are completely useless and very much resemble as seen on TV products like the slap chop or the shamwow, and they rarely work as advertised. They almost always serve an extremely specific use for scenarios that rarely ever happen, but he still manages to sell them, simply because he advertises it in a more or less convincing manner. Obviously, he never uses any of these products himself.   While Zartos is obviously a malignant entity, he does more or less treat his employees with respect. They obviously don't get any sort of pay or benefits as they are his property, but that doesn't mean he just yells at and mistreats them whenever he feels like it. He does seem to genuinely enjoy running the office and can regularly be found wandering through the offices, taking in the general climate of depression and misery.   Zartor is also a man of expensive taste, he enjoys a good bourbon with a cigar after a long day of closing deals and while he himself is odourless, his clothes typically reek of expensive cabanas.   He is very materialistic, and if there is one thing that can ruin his day (other than a deal going wrong) it's the destruction of perfectly good property. He has great disdain for the world eaters as they just destroy and don't do much else, which affects 'property value' and he generally just sees it as wasteful and pointless. Not only that, but he also has no patience for sadists and overly cruel individuals. He had worked with Zindro in the past and when he welcomed Zindro in the office and was told that his main motivation was inflicting pain on others, Zartor expressed great disappointment. In fact, he generally seems opposed to the needless use of violence and cruelty. He wants a clean and efficient business model, and torturing enemies that have no secrets to share is inefficient and just generally a massive waste of time and effort. Zartor understands that people are much more likely to give something up when something is offered in return, instead of taken away.   Zartor also has a knee-jerk dislike for the French language, mostly because he thinks it sounds stupid.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Organizations:
  1. The Galactic Council- As the primary protectors of Jeslore, Zartor will always find his most fervent enemies in the galactic council. The galactic council, being an offshoot of the dracholmian union has essentially witnessed first hand what Zartor is capable of and how he works so they have the tools and knowledge necessary to more effectively repel Zartors efforts at taking control over planets they have colonized. The acquisition department is being directly monitored by the department of domestic security and civil protection, which makes it extremely difficult for the acquisition department to make any attempt at power without getting on the radar of J4k08 who, unlike other politicians, does not need to give up effort when splitting his attention. Official CPA mandates require the investigation of politicians that show traits consistent with strategies used by the acquisition department (shameless populism, vilification of political rivals, projection, inciting division, etc.) and when enough traits are present the CPA will covertly put the target out of commission.

For as proactive as the galactic council is, they can only do so much to protect Jeslore itself as 'the bubble' makes fast orbital response to his activity harder and on the ground agencies have to deal with the civil unrest that is near omnipresent in later time eras of the planet. But force is not the only thing they contribute. Like all factions that are aware of Zartor, they are investing a great amount of funds into scientific research hoping to find an easy way to put him down.
  2. Drosden Fleet - Despite their intensely capitalistic nature, the Drosden fleet has always remained a staunch enemy of Zartor. This is mostly due to their deep diplomatic relationship with the galactic council. Kat has banned communication with Zartor in her territory and Dexter has developped specialized radars that can pick up spikes in anomalous activity to limit Zartors ability to gain a footing. Kat has not dealt much with Zartor, all she knows is that her husband was sent to put him down and it didn't go to well. Dexter on the other hand is well aware of what Zartor is capable of and compares him to a genie, stating that anyone who promises they can make your dreams come true is most likely lying. With the radars in place and response teams ready to investigate spikes in anomalous activity, the drosden fleet does not have to worry too much about actively fighting back Zartor and can continue to concentrate on what they do best.
  3. Servants of hunger/chaos - The servants of hunger and chaos hold complex views of Zartor. Their main ideology is that the destruction of sentient life is an inevitability, and that factions like the Cykx dominion and the galactic council are only postponing the death of life. Moreover, they believe that it works in a fashion similar to an egg or a phoenix, that from the ashes of annihilation something new will hatch and therefore the acceleration of destruction is a necessity. Originally the servants of hunger, this cult of power armor maniacs would often sabotage the cykx dominion behind the frontlines to help the world eaters advance. Later they diverged into 2 sects: Hunger and Chaos. The cult split up as they could not agree on what the true face of armageddon was: The World Eaters or The Bastion. The second sect serves the bastion and will do anything in their power to ensure it can spread. Some individuals in either sect have taken to following Zartor, but it wasn't a significant enough number to become a new sect. Most servants reject Zartor as the destruction of the universe under him is not the goal but a side effect of digesting life force. They also know that if Zartor takes control of Jeslore, which regenerates life force faster than he can consume it, any further galactic conquest will be in the name of his ego, not purification.
  4. Acquisition department/Zartor cult - The acquisition department is essentially a cult of devoted followers that carry out the will of Zartor. Their general line of play is to gain political influence to then sign away the planet on the behalf of the locals, and they use underhanded political strategies to get into positions of power. They dutifully carry out the orders of Zartor without question or hesitation.
  5. The Iron Union - The Iron Union is one of the first civilizations of Jeslore that is fully and fervently atheistic. One of their slogan holds "The future is red, and holds no false gods or ostentious kings.". Being essentially a god like entity, the Iron Union needed very little reason to openly reject his advances, and with the amount of control the Iron Union wielded over its citizens, they could more effectively keep Zartor out of their hair. Zartor is well aware of the Iron Union and has done everything in his power to cultivate a climate of anti-communism in the whole of Jeslore (to which the Iron Union has contributed a fair amount with their history of warcrimes and brutal foreign policies. Zartor considers the Iron Union a much larger threat than the Galactic Council and Dracholmian Union, as they actually have the inclination to assert enough control over their own citizens to keep Zartor out of Jeslore. If the Iron Union had his way, Zartor would have no hope of controlling Jeslore. The problem for Zartor is that the Iron Union is as resilient as his mortal enemy and keeps finding a way to come back.
  6. Sabatonian republic - Being the paranoid, fortified wardogs they are, Sabaton was not exactly excited to find out a businessman from space has been visiting their planet and purchasing the souls of their valued soldiers. The high command inevitably found out and was furious, and promptly banned any communication with Zartor. Unfortunately, it is very hard to actually bar people from communicating with Zartor, especially being as manipulative and persuasive as he is. When it was found out that Zartor had not yet been purged from their world fully after the ban, and intel suggesting that he's more than just a simple demon looking for easy souls. His actions were forwarded to the OOCOM (Occult Operations COMmand) who have not yet stopped tracking Zartors activity on their planet. Fortunately for the high command but not for OOCOM, Zartor is not particularly interested in Sabaton like he is in other more anomalous planets. So until the need to feed arises, he has chosen to leave the planet alone for now. A lucky break for the high command, but without the activity of Zartor and his cult OOCOM will have a much harder time gathering information on him, other than what they are given by the Cykx Dominion and the Galactic Council. Official OOCOM mandates regarding contact with Zartor require a 2-3 week detainment for questioning, soldiers that have given in to his influence are their main source of information.
  7. Joint Empire Alliance - While communication with Zartor was largely seen as blasphemous to the empire at first, they have come to accept him as a more or less suitable substitute for Kragen following his death, partially because Zartor promised he could bring him back. Out of all the factions on Jeslore, the empire is the one most likely to play Zartors game, and he has done a great job cultivating that. The empire was looking for a powerful deity like entity that could give them the religious fulfilment that had been taken away from them by the dracholmian union during the war on divinity, and Zartor was the only entity powerful enough to establish a footing on a planet so fervently atheistic. As with anyone that has signed anything away to Zartor for his services, he thinks of the empire as suckers, but in this case extremely useful ones. The empire's militaristic nature allows them to fight his biggest detractors in their own home. The pending threat of an invading military also puts strain on the Jeslorian government, giving Zartor a lot more freedom to do his thing.
  8. Cykx Dominion - The Cykx Dominion recognizes Zartor as a class XIB dimensional threat and strongly urges all its allies to ban communication with him. They are also vigilantly monitoring activity of Zartors followers, so they can put down his following before they assert irreversible control. Other than nudging other factions into taking a stand against Zartor and researching ways to put him down, the Cykx Dominion does not often deal with Zartor directly. Especially since Zartor knows that they border on a hivemind and it would be impossible for him to manipulate a single member of the dominion. The dominion on the other hand does not need to fake interactions with Zartor to get info out of him, they can just rely on their many allies for information on how to deal with him. The problem is that the Cykx have enough on their plate as is and thus don't have the accumen ready to really commit to taking down Zartor. For the time being they must but all their effort into holding back the world eaters and maintaining political stability. Actually taking the fight to Zartor falls on the shoulders of other factions until the world eater threat is neutralized.
  9. Watchers Agency - The watchers agency has a very delicate alliance with Zartor, mostly because of shared interests. Both Zartor and the watchers agency want to prevent entire planets from being destroyed by any means necessary but have different motives. Zartor will often assist the watchers agency in pinpointing imminent threats that the agency needs to investigate, and in return the watchers agency will not interfere wih Zartors attempt to assert control over the planets that have been cleared from potential destruction. Despite their alliance, the watchers agency still does not trust Zartor and will not sign any of his contracts. They work together to preserve planets and prevent colossal loss of life, and that's where their collaboration ends.
  10. SCP foundation - Zartor first came to the attention of the SCP Foundation in 1968 in France during a spelunking expedition in the catacombs below Paris. Researchers found a cave painting resembling Zartor here. The foundation did not think anything of it until this exact cave painting was found globally. He was depicted in pyramids, in cave paintings in France to Russia, ancient Greek pottery, and more. The weirdest part is that these were all being discovered around the same time. The Foundation began to really take notice when more and more of these cave paintings popped up with what appeared to be people worshipping the one-eyed creature. And the cave paintings were labeled anomalous when people began to report whispering coming from these paintings. The paintings and pottery were confiscated, and the anomalous pyramids were converted into sites. For a solid chunk of time (about 20 years), the existence of Zartor remained unknown to the Foundation, that is until one researcher gave into the influence the whispers exerted over him and performed the ritual which involved [Data Expunged]. Shortly upon completion, Zartor emerged from the painting and immediately began bartering for 'this place', which he said referred to this planet. Security attempted to capture him but it seemed as if he was immune to gunfire (in fact bullets simply passed through him) and in response, he complained that his suit was damaged and he would require payment to have it dry cleaned. After a short pause, he grabbed the researcher that summoned him by the leg for payment and disappeared back into his cave painting, after which the whispering continued.

The foundation attempted another summoning of Zartor a few days later, this time with class-D (T. Rogers) personnel performing the ritual. Surprisingly, despite having displayed sapient intelligence Zartor seemingly willingly returned despite referencing the last encounter, asking the foundation "If they were willing to conduct business like grown adults" this time. He informed the Foundation that due to Earth's generally low anomalous level (which, of course, came as a huge surprise to personnel) it had fairly low property value and he was not willing to pay much for it. When asked if he was aware of the SCP foundation's identity and its extensive catalog of contained SCPs he informed researchers that "A couple of loose anomalous creatures do not make a planet anomalous. This place has no arcane climate of its own.". Researcher J. Dupont asked what he was willing to give in exchange for the earth, which got Zartor visibly excited. He said that he was aware the foundation did not own the planet nor had a real claim on it. Instead, he would only agree to this deal if we had the signature of at least 3 world leaders. They did not have to be aware of what they were signing away as "no one reads the little text anyway". In exchange for our planet, Zartor primarily promised to allow for autonomy and would also lend the foundation the necessary tools to track down, capture, and contain any SCP. As tempting as it was at the time, especially as there had recently been a containment breach, the deal was turned down. It seemed to greatly annoy him, and even physically weaken him. When a capture was attempted in his weakened state, Zartor proceeded to -Redacted- all present individuals except for T. Rogers who was given a business card and released. T. Rogers reports that Zartor said the following. "It's never too late to make a deal. Give this here card to your superiors and tell them to give me a call when they got the necessary permissions. Don't call me unless you don't have them. I'll know.". Any further attempts to contact Zartor have been unsuccessful, as the foundation has not secured signatures of world leaders yet.

Due to the powerful and cunning nature of Zartor, alongside the properties associated with SCP-963, for rather obvious reasons Dr. Bright is not allowed within a 60-mile radius of any cave painting featuring Zartor. In fact, for general safety, Dr. Bright is to be kept out of the loop regarding Zartor.

While Zartor now refuses to further communicate with the foundation, it does not mean his threat level can be lowered. Ever since the last communication with him, there has been a growing number of reports of people following the same instructions given to us. It would appear that Zartor can manifest his artistic signature which serves as his means of influencing people anywhere he likes. What this means is that to limit Zartor's influence, the SCP foundation must carefully monitor world leaders and the signatures they hand out, as Zartor had mentioned before that the leaders do not need to know what they are signing off on. Zartor was vague when describing what his ownership of our planet meant. He himself said that he would feed on the anomalous nature of the planet, which expands his own life span. It is assumed that if Zartor succeeds, it would at the very least be a K-class dominance shift scenario and at worst possibly an X-class extinction event. Either way, Zartor may not under any circumstances attain the means to control our planet. MTF team ASOT-375 (As Seen On TV) is assigned to monitoring Zartors activity and dismantling his cults.- SCP foundation file

In case it was not clear from the SCP foundation file, Zartor has a less than positive relationship with the foundation, perhaps because ultimately both parties were self-serving in their interaction. Zartor attempted to scam to foundation into giving him Earth but could not get connected to higherups, meanwhile, all the SCP foundation wanted out of Zartor was information. Because of poor first impressions, Zartor no longer bothers to manipulate the SCP Foundation into doing his bidding and has turned his attention to establishing something of a cult on earth that can help him control the planet while eluding the foundation. The foundation meanwhile treats Zartor as they would any potentially apocalyptic threat: with all due diligence. They do not fully understand Zartors' power yet but have decided it's in their best interest not to find out.
Characters:
  • Tower Charlot (Mortal Enemy) - Of all the fools who have tried to foil his plans in the past, if Zartor had to choose one that he considers his main rival it would be Tower Charlot, not despite the fact that they have a lot in common (sense of humor, high charisma, very stubborn, etc). Zartor had been foiled before, but those have always been little more than setbacks. Tower is the first to actually defeat him which forever intertwined the destiny of Zartor and the Charlot bloodline. Tower is one of those rare people that refuses to make a deal not because he is aware of the consequences but rather out of respect for those that have come before him and a deep loyalty to his country and friends.
  • Sylvia Sunshard (Adversary) - Much like Tower, Sylvia is one of those rare people that have done more than simply get in his way. Her actions led to the empire being out of commission for a long time, further limiting his influence on Jeslore and while not directly related to her, he can tell that Sylvia and the sunshard family is related to the goddess Illinea, who is another massive pain in his theoretical neck. Unlike Tower though, Zartor has much more relaxed views of Sylvia, mostly seeing her as a self righteous baby with a hero complex but at the same time he admires her tenacity. He also knows that she's holding on to the sunshard, which he is particularly interested in.
  • Gaimlath (Ally) - Gaimlath is a former ally of Zartors who, with his help, managed to gain control over a significant portion of Jeslore for roughly 7 years before it all collapsed back onto itself. Zartor thinks Gaimlath is a giant idiot and one of his least capable minions. Gaimlath squandered the power Zartor had bestowed upon him and his reign was an inmitigated disaster that was useful to no one, not even Zartor as it lead to widespread destruction and new political tension that reduced Zartors ability to move around.
  • Vayelyth Sunshard - Zartor has a very complex relationship with Vayelyth, where he is not quite sure whether he can manipulate her or not. He has helped her in the past before, but has not managed to convince her to sign anything yet as he's still trying to build a relationship with her, one that he can exploit later. Vayelyth does not trust Zartor and reluctantly accepts his help whenever he offers it.
  • Illinea - The title of owner of a planet typically goes to the oldest race or the being that was the first living creature of a planet that is still alive. While Chase is typically disregarded for his personality, Illinea, the elven goddess of life and light is generally considered a candidate of owner of the planet, to Zartor anyway. While his main line of play is still to take it from the local governments, he is working on a contingency plan involving the elven goddess, but he has not yet found her.
  • J4k08 (Adversary) - Zartor is well aware of who J4k08 and recognizes that it is extremely difficult to hide his activities from him. Moreover, he has found that J4k08 truly is committed to his office, and has refused to make any sort of deal with him. J4k08 has foiled multiple plots by Zartor that could easily have given him a lot of influence over Jeslore, and for that reason the two rarely directly communicate. In fact, the only communication they really have is when Zartor is trying to mock J4k08. The problem for him is that J4k08 is adept enough at gathering information to the point he does not need contact with Zartor to expand his dossier and find ways to foil his plans.
  • Citadel Charlot - Zartor is actively trying to avoid Citadel, because if he is anywhere near as stubborn and resilient as his father Zartor could have another mortal enemy on his hands, but this time one wielding far more advanced equipment. Zartor is completely correct in his assumptions about Citadel, while he still needs training to become as good as Tower it he will eventually be the one to finish what his father has started. And Citadel is determined to make sure that Zartor won't come back this time.

Social Aptitude

Zartor is a person of great ego, mostly because he is at the top of the cosmic food chain. He typically thinks of the people that fall for his tricks as suckers, much like a used car salesman would. And he thinks that the people who don't fall for his tricks are needlessly stubborn idiots that don't know when to take a good deal. When in direct contact, Zartor is highly charismatic and will do his best to drive a hard bargain. Additionally, and what makes him more dangerous, is how immensely manipulative Zartor is. He has no issue at all convincing a person to sign one of his contracts, be it through charismatic persuasion or true manipulation. Nevertheless, he typically remains polite in conversation and he is quick to use terms of endearment to make people think he is their friend, when in reality he is trying to make a sale.   He is very good at defusing tense situations, so his deals are not endangered and knows exactly what to say to catch someone's interests, or who to target to have them capitulate to his pressure. He generally doesn't use intimidation to drive a bargain, but still sees it as a valuable last resort.

Speech

Zartor is very engaging when he speaks and knows how to catch the attention of people to sell a product or a story. He's very much a social engineer and knows how to convince someone to his way of thinking, and more importantly, invoke emotions to cultivate hype for his products. He makes grand gestures and tells a lot of jokes while speaking, to often distract people from the fact that his pitch is full of holes. In short, in line with his abilities, he knows how to make a sale and keep people from asking questions. He also constantly has this smug smile on his face whenever he's idle. The most identifiable bit about his pattern of speech is the thick New York accent in which he speaks that is generally associated with as seen on TV hosts and gangster movies. His accent is the only way to tell if a person is Zartor in disguise or not, as he frequently forgets to change slang words (I.E he will still use words like sport and buddy instead of chap or lad when he's supposed to be impersonating someone with a different accent).

Wealth & Financial state

By and large, Zartor may very well be the richest person in the universe, because he handles in something that has universal value and is extremely valuable at that. Each "soul" is worth around 11 million, and Zartor has hundreds of thousands of planets worth of souls. Unsurprisingly, trading in souls is an extremely lucrative market, especially when the ability to actually use and harvest life force is incredibly rare on even anomalous planets. Essentially Zartor is the biggest buyer of life force and real estate in existence, and he is no stranger to fiercely assimilating any competition, as he is not the first cosmic void spawn to end up in our universe but did end up being in charge of all of them.

Scp Foundation Article

Designation: SCP-456500-Alpha "Zartor"
Object class: Appolyon
Threat level: Black
Type: Extraterrestrial SCP   Description:
SCP-456500: Instances of SCP-456500 are typically identified as ancient works of art or fossil evidence such as cave paintings depicting SCP-456500-Alpha as some kind of god-like creature. This can be anything from prehistoric cave paintings to pottery and statues depicting him from the bronze age. Instances of SCP-456500 don't typically get newer than any medieval art. The running trend with SCP-456500 is that it's a newly discovered piece of archeological art depicting SCP-456500-Alpha as some type of god-like creature with followers. Historians and archeologists discovering instances of SCP-456500 are to be administered amnestics. Lastly, instances of SCP-456500 emit a faint whispering that instruct those that hear it to perform some type of ritual.   SCP-456500-C: Instances of SCP-456500-C are essentially those that have given in to SCP-456500-Alphas influence, either willingly or through coercion, manipulation, or hypnosis. They are wholly indistinguishable from the average business major/political science major. They tend to be highly politically active, either running for office themselves or attempting to enter a position where they can influence rulers into signing a bill without paying any attention. Instances of SCP-456500-C are not anomalous, and both security and members of MTF ASOT-375 (As Seen On TV) have been instructed to discreetly dispose of them whenever possible. To SCP-456500-Alpha they are little more than pawns, but they are also his only workforce. Instances of SCP-456500-C tend to congregate in groups, designated SCP-456500-B   SCP-456500-B: SCP-456500-B is essentially a cult comprised of instances of SCP-456500-C. They tend to stick to secluded areas where they can plan their next political moves in peace. Should SCP-456500-B activity be uncovered, MTF ASOT-375 is to be deployed asap alongside regular law enforcers to neutralize the group. Instances of SCP-456500-C are well-armed but untrained, necessitating caution on engagement even if victory is likely.   SCP-456500-Alpha "Zartor": Zartor is a relatively small, humanoid figure with the ability to shapeshift (among other abilities). The true depth of his power is not yet known, a list of his abilities will be added. Despite his extraterrestrial origin, and powers that send the foundations theological department into a frenzy, Zartor speaks fluent French, Dutch, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, German, Afrikaans, Russian, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Norwegian, Greek, Italian, and Arabian. Curiously though, he finds speaking any language other than English demeaning. Zartor does speak English, with a thick New York accent similar to what one would expect from the typical mafia movie character, or as seen on TV hosts (He particularly bears a resemblance to Vince Offer). He has consistently shown a disdain for the French language, the reason is unknown.   Compared to other sapient SCPs that have been contained, Zartor does not seem particularly evil but more so pragmatic and self-serving. Most notably, he's averse to direct violence. It's not known why but he has described battle as needlessly messy. He takes a more diplomatic approach to realize his goals, with the art of the deal being his weapon of choice, which does not make him any less dangerous.   Zartor is a small figure, standing around 5'4", which appears to be by choice as he has shown the ability to change form whenever he pleases. He has one eye that is usually bloodshot with a large toothy grin. He does not have skin, in fact, it appears that he is composed out of some form of anti-gravity liquid, which is jet black. He has a fondness for corporate culture, as displayed by his dress code. He tends to wear a grey pinstripe suit with a trench coat fold, a red tie and brown shoes. He also wears a long red cloak. Lastly, he has a small golden crown, although it is rarely visible with his head sprouting the bubbles.   The bubbles on his head often break off into smaller eyes.   Special containment procedures:
SCP-456500-Alpha can not be contained. So far all attempts to capture him (?) have failed as he is immune to gunfire, fire weaponry, acid based weaponry and every other armament the foundation had available (It is believed SCP-456500-Alpha may be able to shift to an ethereal form to make himself immune to all known forms of damage). As capturing is impossible, it is guessed that containment is just as impossible. The Foundation is not helpless against SCP-456500-Alpha, however. A global network of MTF teams ASOT-375 (As Seen On TV) is the only means of limiting SCP-456500-Alphas influence. Combating SCP-456500-Alpha can be done in a variety of ways, the most common being confiscating instances of SCP-456500, which neutralizes SCP-456500-Alphas influence in effective immediately. Instances of SCP-456500 are easily destroyed with mining methods, the cheapest method is mining picks but out of concern that it influences inmates to summon SCP-456500-Alpha the recommended way of disposing of SCP-456500 is with the use of explosives. Subjects that have given in to SCP-456500-Alphas influence are designated SCP-456500-C.   The second most common way of limiting SCP-456500-Alphas influence is by directly engaging his followers in combat. SCP-456500-Alpha has established something of an international cult designation: SCP-456500-B, all of which are working in the interest of attaining the signatures of world leaders SCP-456500-Alpha requires to become the owner of Planet Earth (which is suspected to be a K class dominance shift, if not an X class extinction event). Instances of SCP-456500-C tend to be highly politically active, using populism to either get elected or get close to rulers, while not necessarily showing a political bias. The foundation is monitoring worldwide police networks, particularly tracking cult activity, and will often deploy alongside regular police units, either disguised as SWAT units or the national guard. Instances of SCP-456500-C are not anomalous and can be put down by regular force. These cult centres tend to be in secluded areas, and they hold meetings about twice a month. The cults themselves tend to have up to 30 members, as they are encouraged to split up into a new "chapter" if one gets too big, to influence a larger region while being harder to track down. SCP-456500-B is well organized and directed, and even though they tend to lose combat engagements, especially against MTF members, engagements with instances of SCP-456500-B tend to involve significant casualties. This is likely because instances of SCP-456500-C don't get any additional training in combat and while armed with high-quality armaments tend to be outnumbered and outgunned.   Tracking SCP-456500-B can only be done by monitoring global police networks regarding cult activity, if it is suspected to be SCP-456500-B MTF ASOT-375 will be deployed in disguise, as mentioned before. Termination of instances of SCP-456500-B is crucial, as every second they are allowed to operate further, SCP-456500-Alpha gets closer to owning our planet. All attempts to infiltrate SCP-456500-B have failed, it appears that SCP-456500-Alpha has lieutenants of sort which keeps close tabs on the members. Members don't "join" SCP-456500-B, they seem to receive instructions on when and where to meet upon enthralment.   Due to the intergalactic origin of SCP-456500-Alpha, our limited resources and secretive nature, and the monumental challenge of limiting SCP-456500-Alpha, the foundation has received the support of [Data Expunged], who have more experience in dealing with SCP-456500-Alpha. They have given us information and have agreed to take operatives to locations better suited to study SCP-456500-Alpha. In exchange, we must share our findings, even if they acknowledged it is unlikely we know more than them. This alliance is in its early stage, but may evolve into something far more beneficial for studying extra-terrestrial SCPs.

Recorded interaction with SCP-456500-Alpha

Incident-1

Incident-1 occurred shortly after the first instance of SCP-456500 was brought into the facility. A researcher by the name of Dr. Jacque Dubois had reported hearing whispering emanating from SCP-456500. His behaviour became more erratic over the weeks as a result of bad sleep induced by the whispering. The incident occurred when Dr. Dupuis gave in to the whispered instructions of SCP-456500, which summoned SCP-456500-Alpha into our world. After the whispering ceased, he seemingly regained composure. This log is a tape from a security camera monitoring an instance of SCP-456500.   Note: Despite his extra-terrestrial nature, SCP-456500-Alpha speaks fluent english with a new-york accent typically associated with as seen on TV salesman hosts. He even often uses slang.   Dr. Dubois: Bonjour. Je m'appelle Docteur Jacques Dupois. Veuillez commencer par indiquer votre nom.
SCP-456500-Alpha: Please don't tell me I have to speak French. *chuckles*
Dr Dubois: I can speak English if need be. I will repeat my question: Please start by telling me what I should call you.
SCP-456500-Alpha: *Chuckles* Call me whatever, long as you don't call me late for dinner. I jest, of course, the name is Zartor. I'm guessing you're the hot rod that wants to make a deal. Unfortunately, I'll have to tell you up front that this place ain't worth much because-
Zartor is interrupted by security pouring into the room.   Zartor: Friends of yours?
Security requests orders while keeping their weapons aimed at Zartor.   Zartor: Oh I get it now, you didn't let anyone know you were calling me, did you, sport?
Security is ordered to capture SCP-456500-Alpha using live ammunition. As Zartor had generally a humanoid shape, security aimed for his legs and opened fire. Zartor was unaffected by the gunfire and responded with mild annoyance.   Zartor: Oh it's another one of these bastard backwater planets where people don't have manners. Do you know what dry cleaning costs? And this isn't a regular dry cleaner either, they only take souls for payment!
Security keeps firing at Zartor, now not just targetting his legs.   Zartor: You know what? Call me when you're ready to negotiate like grown men. I'm getting my suit washed.
Zartor grabs Dr. Dubois by the leg and drags him into SCP-456500.

Formal attempt at communication with SCP-456500-Alpha

The second communication with SCP-456500-Alpha was given much more preparation. A mobile task force team had been placed with more variety in weaponry, better cameras and recording equipment was placed and instead of a researcher, the ritual was done by D-class personnel, as to avoid losing important assets when the second capture attempt fails.   Interviewer: Dr. Jean Dupont
D-class personnel: Thibaut Rogers (a convicted felon, arrested for attempted political assassination.)
Total number of operatives present: 19 (3 researchers, 1 D-class, 10 security guards, 5 mobile task force soldiers)   Despite what happened last time, Zartor once more emerges from SCP-456500.
Zartor: So, are you boys and girls ready to do business like adults?
Dr. Dupont: Oui- er, I mean yes.
Zartor: I know French, I just don't want to speak it. It's demeaning.
Dr. Dupont: Hmm, well before a deal is closed, it is custom on our planet to do a little interview and get to know one another. So let us do that before we discuss details.
Zartor: *somewhat offended* You think I'm a f#cking idiot? I invented business, I know how business is done on this planet, and that's not done in like 90% of the corporations. Don't try to lie to me, it won't work.
Dr. Dupont: Very well then. Full disclosure: I work for the SCP foundation, you have been designated SCP-456500-Alpha. We are willing to do business with you, but before that we must ask some questions.
Zartor: What, was SCP-456500-Sigma taken or something? *Zartor chuckles*. I'll humour your little interview, but only because I just reeled in a big contract, and I'm in a good mood.
Dr. Dupont: Thank you for your compliance. Please, start by telling us your full name, age and race.
Zartor: Well as I told your friend, who is now under my employment, last time I was here: My name is Zartor. I am a cosmic void spawn. As for my age, my own tongue has a word for a number this high. For your more primitive language, the closest equivalent would be "infinite".
Dr. Dupont: Hmm, yes. Could you tell us what you did with Doctor Jacque Dubois, and if you could have him back?
Zartor: I claimed his, and again I am using a word you understand, 'soul' or 'life force'. It's best you consider him dead and in hell, a hell of my own making. As you can see, it was enough to fix the suit, pretty snazzy, right?
Dr. Dupont: Could you elaborate? On the life force part I mean.
Zartor: How do I put this in a way that won't make your head explode. Oh and keep in mind, I'm not even trying to be arrogant. There's simply information that organics can't traditionally understand.   Zartor leans back in his chair, in deep thought.   Dr. Dupont: I understand.
Zartor: Judging from your labcoat, I take it you're a scientist? You're likely aware of the natural law that matter and energy can not be created nor destroyed. All living things have a specific spark to them, the energy that makes organic life tick in a sense. It has an intrinsic value, that beings like myself are interested in. I called it a soul because if handled the right way, it can preserve consciousness. My office has the correct conditions, where collected "souls" do my paperwork for all eternity. Hence why I chose to call it hell.
Dr. Dupont: I see. What is your motive for doing all of this?
Zartor: The true answer is technically survival, as I am not unlike a fire with this energy being my fuel. But I have collected so many, that it hardly has to do with my survival anymore. Especially when I can just take anomalous planets, which includes the "soul" of every living thing on it as a nice bonus. Nothing personal, it's just business.
Dr. Dupont: Is the anomalous nature of earth the reason you are here?   Zartor lets out a hearty laugh that is reignited every time he looks at Dr Dupont. It goes on for about 4 minutes.   Zartor: I'm so sorry, but that caught me off guard. You think Planet Earth is anomalous?
Dr. Dupont: *slightly confused* Well... Yes, we had to start the SCP foundation to contain the many anomalous entities roaming our planet.   Zartor trails into another laughing fit. It takes him a little while to regain composure.   Zartor: My apologies, but Earth is not an anomalous planet. A planet is only classified as anomalous once anomalies are considered commonplace. On the anomalous scale, Earth is very much below average.
Dr. Dupont: Then why come here? Are your cave paintings not an indication you mean to have this planet? Like a bid?
Zartor: Good grief, no. It's closer to stickering. You know, like when a relative is about to die and you put stickers on stuff you wish to 'inherit'. I hear it's commonplace in Europe and America. It's something all entities of my level do to get some easy domain for a low price.
Dr. Dupont: But you are still willing to barter for our planet. Why sticker it if it is low in value?
Zartor: Of course! If you are in the market for drinks, do you only buy the most expensive bordeaux? Certainly, you also drink water and perhaps milk, especially as a scientist.
Dr. Dupont: I see. I'm almost afraid to ask this, but what is stopping you from murdering all of us right now, and forcefully taking our planet?
Zartor chuckles while some of the research team gives Dr. Dupont something of an angry look.   Zartor: Hah! I like you, Jean! The answer is effort. Because you're right, I could kill you all, very easily so in fact. But as you may have noticed, I'm immune to gunfire. To hurt you, I would need to consume a contract, which will have unknown side effects making me vulnerable, and quite frankly earth is not worth the use of my contracts. I'm saving them for [Data Expunged]. On top of that, even if I were to raze this planet, I have standards to abide by and would have to allow earth to be colonized once more by sapient life and try again. I will only raze earth, if i find that no one here is co-operative.
Dr. Dupont: *Somewhat nervously* What is [Data Expunged]?
Zartor: It's the superbowl, my friend. Oh wait, that's right. Forgot I was in France. It's the big thing, the first price, first place in the tour de france.
Dr. Dupont: Hmm. So, down to business: Were I looking to sell earth to you. What would happen to it and what would I receive?
Zartor: Ah, but you don't own earth! You likely haven't forgotten about the fact I know how this planet is, and it being the globally democratic red taped hellhole i love it to be, getting the blessing of one leader won't be enough. You'll have to get the blessing off multiple leaders, think of it as them holding the majority of the shares. Once the majority signed away their share, I can essentially take control.*   Zartor reaches into his trenchcoat and pulls out a piece of paper and a pen. The paper is a contract, surprisingly written in english. The contract read that once Zartor had the majority of the 'shares' of earth, foundations end of the bargain would be complete. In exchange Zartor offers to "sip wise" on the anomalous levels, gift the foundation the tools necessary to accurately track down and contain any SCP. He also offered over 1.3 trillion USD, and access to [Data Expunged]. As tempting as it was, the contract was not signed for obvious reasons.   Dr. Dupont: A tempting offer. But I'm afraid I must decline, mr Zartor.   Shortly after turning down his deal, Zartors liquid bubbles became smaller, and he himself began groaning, seemingly in great pain. The video shows Dr. Dupont attempting to run away while the security team unloads their weapons on Zartor. The feed cuts out for a solid 15 minutes, and when it returns the only survivor is Dr. Dupont and Thibaut Rogers. Other researchers and military personnel were either dead or had gone missing.   *It's not entirely clear what he means by this. But it likely is a K class dominance shift at the very least.

Addendum

The interview had only left 2 alive: Dr. Dupont and Thibaut Rogers. Both had a calling card, which had instructions on how to perform the ritual to summon Zartor as well as a helpline for assistance with the ritual. The card also resembled a business card, reading: Zartor Soul Insurance, fair prices for dirty souls. They also report that Zartor left a parting message that the camera missed due to his episode: "It's never too late to make a deal. Excuse me for going off like that, but it is rather rude to take advantage of a condition, wouldn't you agree? Anyway, take this business card to call me if you got the signatures. I know you think you can stop me by not doing anything, but I already got followers willing to help me. So best to start helping while you can still get anything out of it. Don't summon me unless you got what we need, I won't answer."   Any further attempts to contact SCP-456500-Alpha have failed, as he is not responding, likely because the foundation has no intention of helping him. The foundation has placed limiting the spread of SCP-456500-Alpha to the near top of their priority list, partially due to the fact the entirety of the planet is at stake and as the foundation has no sure fire way to track SCP-456500-Alphas progress to his goals. MTF ASOT-375 has been established and deployed globally and the foundation is also carefully monitoring any bills, contracts, and legislation given to elected public officials. Lastly the foundation is also monitoring police lines around the world, paying close attention to any reports that may refer to SCP-456500-B. The foundation has also partnered with the [Data Expunged] who also had been attempting to limit the spread of SCP-456500-Alpha. Research into actively reducing the spread of SCP-456500-Alpha and perhaps one day containing him are on-going.

[=From: [Hazard ranger crew epsylon]=]::|   Greetings. This is Hazard Ranger, Sgt. Melody Kingmaker reporting in.   Following our venture into the great beyond, I was tasked by you to travel around, see what the climate is like for our impending expansion. Over the past 4 months I have infiltrated several space faring factions (Except for the Cykx Dominion, who should have reached out already.) and I have several things to report, and they will be listed in ascending order of hos disturbing it is. I will start with the good news: There are ample planets available for colonization and I have caught buzz of project IE, and there is space at the coordinates [Data Expunged]. As for project second home, there is a planet named Apex-122 with a climate similar to Jeslore at the coordinates [Data Expunged] but it is simply missing the anomalous climate we are used to. By and large, our trajectory for expansion will not encounter any notable obstacles, that I could foresee.   Now for the bad news:
Sabaton:
Our mission, overall was smooth. Until we had to investigate the sabatonian system. It is located just inside of range to make establishing diplomatic ties the optimal line of play. Investigating Sabaton is where we took our first casualty, while our presence remained unnoticed, the sabatonian republic uses weapons of mass destructions quite liberally and one of my squadmates was caught in the crossfire. His body was removed and all evidence burned, intel suggests they have no idea we were ever there. The problem lies in their intensely militaristic culture, so establishing positive diplomatic ties may be difficult and rather time consuming. The Sabatonian republic seems to be fighting multiple battles on multiple fronts and they're utilizing rugged trench systems to their advantage. I would suggest offering the assistance of our death angels should providing reinforcements ever be considered a way to strengthen relations. Be warned: Sabatonians value fighting spirit and strength, do not send diplomatic envoys in suits as it is possible they consider it an insult.   Unfrotunately, gathering intel was hard, due to their strictly authoritarian government and I chose to go off guesses and basic intel gathering rather than truly infiltrate their ranks for 2 reasons: It is unlikely that without legs I would have maintained cover for very long, and it may harm our odds at establishing diplomatic ties later. Please take extreme caution when establishing contact, the sabatonians have enough going on and as is and may react violently if they see us as an invading force.
  The Statonian Empire:
First off there is the matter of another space faring faction that is also expanding, and with our current trajectory it is possible our borders will meet if they keep going at this pace. The statonian is an ancient republic not terribly dissimilar to some of the older states that are part of the R.A.R, but I would not be doing my duty if I did not compare them to the dusk elven empire, but red. The similarities are striking in the following traits shared between factions:
-Slavery is a common practice, especially regarding conquered factions.
-Highly militaristic culture.
-Strictly autocratic.
-Generally needlessly cruel.
The statonian empire is one of the larger space faring factions, and they are not very diplomatic, only choosing to trade with planets they do not wish to invade (Such as the aforementioned sabaton). They are well known to invade factions they think are weaker than them and most be monitored carefully. I suspect engagement with them is an inevitability.   Great Old Ones:
You likely remember our vanguard. It turns out they were relatively low on the pecking order of divinity then we had thought. They were essentially a form of intergalactic parasite that feeds on the emotional investment of its followers, which is why they would often incite wars. I have come to a disturbing conclusion that there are much more powerful god like entities lurking out there generally known as great old ones. These are almost always malevolent and immensely powerful. I would suggest you to start R&D on it already, as our trajectory of expansion is within the sphere of influence of 3 great old ones: He who has many mouths, rotcore, and Mukor. I would advise to prepare for another engagement with a god like entity somewhere down the line as we expand further.   Entity 0:
Good news and bad news: Bad news is that entity 0 is significantly more powerful than we had originally thought, and even worse is that he is still out there. The good news? We have beaten him before and we will do it again. I have found that we are not the only planet that has had to deal with entity 0 before and we will not be the last. Even worse, there are planets under his direct control, suggesting that he may have an unimaginable large following that we will have to deal with over time. The cykx have been attempting to limit the spread of entity 0 for years now, and our unique experience in fighting him off may be well served here. Entity 0 has been plaguing multiple planets, but I was told that the first time he is defeated is on Jeslore, and our planets anomalous property are particularly valuable to him, so it's safe to say that he will be back. We don't know when he will be back, so we will have time to prepare.   Our current planned trajectory is not in dangerous, but in the semi near future we will have to stand our ground against god and mortal alike once more. I would suggest to renew death angel and bacteria armor technology so we can defend ourselves.
This is Sgt. Melody Kingmaker, signing off.
