Temple of the Five Suns

The Temple is hidden on a jungle shore on the tropical world of Terezinho. The Order of the Five Suns is named so for the five pillars of belief, which a Merlon is to anchor themselves to like the heart of their own personal solar system: Honor, Duty, Initiative, Courage and Compassion   The members are for now exclusively Merlon, focused on peaceful mediation and emphasizing the speech and persuasion related aspects of their sunblade heritage.   All orders have a sunblade weapon nonetheless and The Temple of the Five Suns specializes in fighting with a harpoon, that can also double as a stabbing trident when combat allows.   Deckard Alfin is one such famous member, giving his life to stop The Brotherhood of Fenris leader, Knight-Commander Dagget.   In recent years this temple and its members have gained a reputation for being especially adpet at dealing with metaspace anomolies, shadows, and other manner of psionic strangeness . Their elite inner circle called the Aeolan Cataphracts are responsible for much of off planet field-work, fighting a mysterious shadow foe they do not speak much about outside the bounds of their order.   In order to combat the threat of the Black Tide and its tidal cults on ocean worlds around the universe, the aging order Grandmaster handed his title to Eisheru Tidecaller of the Greystar Confederation in December 2669. Eisheru Tidecaller resigned from Greystar leadership upon accepting the appointment to order Grandmaster, and has since been preparing to take the fight to the enemy as leader of the Temple of the Five Suns.

Doctrine

The Temple of the Five Suns is based on the Five Pillars of Merlon Society. These five traits were supposed to be present and exemplified in all Merlon, and were meant to govern how the Merlon interacted with one another and with members of the wider galactic community. The Temple of the Five Suns has taken these virtues a step further, viewing themselves as exemplars of what model citizens should act like.   Honor - Carry yourself humbly and respectfully , be true to those wishing surrender or wishing to speak   Duty- Respect the tenets of the temple, your training, and your temple superiors   Initiative- Think creatively to solve situations peacefully, act and think for yourself whenever possible   Courage- Doing the right thing even when it is unpopular   Compassion- Even enemies must be afforded respect and sympathy
