Greystar Confederation
Polity History
The Greystar Confederacy as they are now known is a former intelligence agency finding itself as the legitimate government of several planets in the galactic east. Their capital planet is the night world of Acastus. The third regime to rule over Acastus within the last ten years, the Polity has had a difficult time swaying citizens to have faith in the government but the efforts are slowly paying off. In just a few short years since the world was liberated from the clutches of The Still Lady, it has quickly become one of the most developed in the Iron Stars sector. Over the following years the polity has expanded to set bases of influence down on the worlds surrounding it, working with the locals to collectively build back up from the chaos and calamity of The Scream. Although still an intelligence agency at heart, workers, specialists, and fighting souls of all types have found home in the Confederation. Many of the most worthy become Agents, miniature governments on the frontier in and of themselves. Each is given an enormous amount of trust and responsibility as the represent the polity and polity interests on the frontier.The Confederation of Today
Today the Greystar Confederation is powerful, possessing fearsome weapons such as the Veles-class battleship, and the Red Horizon Singularity Gun. The strong outward posture is tempered by the fact that the Confederacy seeks to reach parity with its stellar neighbors whilst still learning the ropes of governing. They have a cooperative relationship with the emergent Iron Stars Federation, though have a strong desire to remain independent. They are working hard to preserve much of the knowledge that has been lost, doing so in their own way and without their political will being shackled to any other organization. The current Greystar leader, Director Kensh, has stressed numerous times that independence does not mean a freedom from consequence or responsibility, and desires keeping the relationships forged with the other polities warm.Public Agenda
