The Brotherhood of Fenris

Some decades ago, a brutal assault was brought against the Temple of the Knotted Wheel orchestrated by members of their own order. 
The attack was led by Knight Commander Dagget at the helm of the Brothers of Fenris, the name given to this breakaway faction of The Temple of the Knotted Wheel. The Justices of Vandar were caught entirely unawares by the duplicity of their comrades, and the massacre was nearly absolute. During the slaughter, Knight Commander Lancaster managed to strike true against Dagget, mortally wounding him. Dagget barely escaped with his life and was interred into a semi-stasis sarcophagus after the battle. 
Dagget continued to live on in this state for close to thirty years. He was fed information through a web of informants and sensors on various worlds. The Brothers of Fenris did his bidding for him, supplicants to a "Just" partial godmind operating with the ultimate goal of "cleansing" former Tenebrian Empire space to usher in Tenebria Secundus with Dagget and the Brothers as its chosen masters. Their preferred Sunblade weapon was the pistol rather than the hammer of the previous order. They had been sequestered under the nose of the Remnant on the hostile world of Savita for years while slowly expanding their influence to stations on other worlds. Between the cunning resistance of the native Underhill and lack of valuable resources on Savita, the Remnant largely left the planet to its own devices. This allowed the savvy Brothers to build a base of operations capable of standing up to the elements of the planet as well as providing protection from the creatures that roam it. They even managed to conceal a cruiser-class ship without alerting the Remnant to their presence. The Brothers had also discovered a way to create genetic slaves with technology stolen from Asgapur and tech from other worlds. Among other things, this will allowed the Brothers to continue their crimes against all that is good in the universe. 
They notably preferred false flag operations where captured uniforms were used, and it was not uncommon for Brotherhood sunblades and cult soldiers to don enemy garb when undertaking sensitive operations. One of the more famous examples of this was the terror campaign fought against the United Nations of Worlds in late 2667. Nearly every polity decision maker was firmly convinced the raids were the work of unaccounted for Remnant pirates, rather than the Brotherhood. 
The group also proved to be incredible spacers. They are responsible for killing Pearl Sarya and Andra when the pair stumbled on Savita, and later also were responsible for killing Robert Tanzer when he stumbled upon an operation of theirs over Shariar. It was determined that his sacrifice was not in vain, recovered cargo consisted of captured UNW uniforms, and the group had planned to attack Galeta and the various international headquarters there using their favored false flag tactics. 
The group was destroyed in late 2667, with Calidorious Odenburg himself killing Knight Commander Dagget in (almost) single combat. 
Several Brotherhood ships were not accounted for when the combined Greystar-UNW task force steamed into the system, though none have emerged since their defeat at Savita and the effective beheading of their order.
