Long War
The Conflict
Prelude
The prelude to the Long War was the expansion of both Achronis and Laran by colonizing, incorporating, or subjugating the smaller states which lay between them. They had both heard of one another through the legends and stories of their new territories, but meeting was still a shock.
Most of the details are fairly murky, as this is an old war, but what is known is that it is primarily a conflict between Nameless and Lati, with their respective states as the intermediaries. Most suspect a feud between a Nameless and a Lati led to bloodshed, which spilled out into the Long War as its known today.
Battlefield
The former is where Achroni and Larani borders meet, directly meet. Anywhere they remain even somewhat constant is built up with Star-Citadels, fortress worlds, and armies beyond count. The latter is an area of space that has been fought over for so long that all life in the area has been confined to the occasional small state or a space station, largely due to Laran's many, many, many superweapons.
