Bryce never expected it could happen. He had always enjoyed the fantasy, that one day someone would overthrow the regime. It's true, the President didn't have absolute authority. But as he put his hand on "The Rule of Men" to be sworn in, he knew he'd give it everything he had to right what had become the world's greatest wrong.
"... you swear, to uphold men as the rightful rulers of the country?" The officiant intoned, his servile eyes locked on Bryce in something close to worship.
"I do." And with a smile he finished internally. 'Until I can fix it.'

Bisexual. A 10. Cold and calculating, but intent on doing the right thing and making the world better. As a young MP, he was contacted by the resistance movement, who recognised his sympathetic tendencies. They helped him in his bid for presidency, giving him the queer underground vote and other sympathetic votes. Additionally, Bryce slept his way to the top, not unwilling to resort to blackmail.

"Ah, senator. Of course this will stay between us. I mean, I tested at a 10, so no one would possibly believe I engage in this behavior. But, you ... you were a seven? Is that right?" Bryce smirked as the senator's hands stopped buttoning his shirt.

Bryce was born on the 23rd of December 2058 to a father who was a politician and a mother who was a homemaker. His father was a 10 but had married down, his wife being a 9. Bryce has one younger sister. He attended Eton, got excellent marks, and for his First Time was rated a 10 and paired with a very pretty girl. They both enjoyed it very much, though it was not Bryce's first sexual experience. He had played around with several classmates before.
Bryce grew up to be highly charismatic, and after a Bachelor of Law and a Masters in Economics, he entered politics, in his father's footsteps. With many contacts, he was elected MP for Cambridge, where he remained after completing his second degree, at just 25. He became a senator at 28, the youngest in the Republic's history.

They met at a party when Alexa was eighteen and Bryce twenty-six. They instantly got along and found they had much in common. Among those things were a tendency to think outside the box and go their own way. Though they found each other very attractive, their relationship was not built on sex, but on a strong mutual friendship. Bryce wanted Alexa to have the opportunity to continue to sing and tour, and Alexa wanted to support Bryce in achieving his political aspirations. Violet is very fond of her brother, and he likes her well enough too, even though they're so distant in age. They don't see each other as much as they'd like anymore, but still keep in touch. Violet confided in Bryce regarding Imogen.

Bryce and Magnus met at Magnus's graduation party and ended up sleeping together that night. They repeated the occurrence several times over the next year or so, until life got in the way and they were forced to stop. They lost touch for about a year but still considered each other friends. When Magnus began to work at the Galton Institute, he got back in touch again. This coincided with Bryce's decision to run for president, and he decided to ask Magnus for a favour.

History

Will sees Bryce as a rival and disagrees with his politics. Even though Bryce feigns a hard line (despite being a Tory; imagine me writing a book where the Conservatives are the good guys, at least some of them), Will sees the relationship between him and Alexa, and he has his suspicions about Bryce screwing men, so he wants to get him in the sack and use that against him somehow. He wears a body cam in an attempt to catch footage and blackmail Bryce, who is vying for the presidency. Unbeknownst to both Will and the reader, however, Magnus has picked up on Will's animosity and warned Bryce, who also has a camera and films the whole thing. When Will tries to blackmail him, Bryce reveals his footage and with mutually assured destruction, Will can do nothing.
