Damek is a famous Half-Drow Blood Hunter who was a member of A Group of Elves and later, The Chosen Nine.

He is a werewolf and is widely considered the most ferocious member of the Chosen Nine.

Personal history

Damek was born during The Drow Raids and was raised by his human mother, Xyla. He never knew his Drow father. They became outcasts, living on the fringes of town. When he was 16, his mother died. In 54 3E, he joined up with A Group of Elves. At Belladonna's Final Ball, he met Alan. By using his Grim Psychometry ability on Alan's Brooch of Time Traveling, he learned that the Brooches were all the same one at different times. He also learned that Alan was both Bryvv's future self, and began to suspect he was his father. Afterwards, during the fight with Nettie and Graves Wendell, Damek took werewolf form, revealing his lycanthropy to his companions. In the end, Damek was given the Blade of Midas by Bryvv and the Brooch of Time Traveling by Alan. 16 years later, he became a member of The Chosen Nine. He helped the others to get Blackrazor back. Once The Chosen Nine came together and left Illon's atmosphere headed for Caldera, Damek fell asleep and had a vision.

Blackrazor’s voice slithers into your mind, dark and compelling. “Damek… kill. Feed me the souls of the unworthy.” His sinister cackles echo as you see visions of each of your companions dead. Qibynn, Alan, Xyla, and Leisl, all lifeless, their throats slit. You look down, realizing you are holding Blackrazor, its blade dripping blood. You jolt awake in a cold sweat.

After having this vision, he stole the sword from Leisl Siannodel. As soon as he got it back, Blackrazor began speaking to him once again, trying to corrupt him. When the group arrived at the Core of Caldera, Mohtarr asked them all "Why do you really want to destroy Caldera? Is it just about the prophecy?" Damek answered that he didn't want darkness to rule. After the group defeated the Caldera Guardian, Alan pickpocketed Blackrazor from Damek and thrust it into the core of Caldera. As Blackrazor was destroyed, Damek took massive psychic damage. After arriving back on Illon, Damek encountered Milo Tosscobble, who gave him two letters. One was from Dr. Elira Valthen, saying that she could cure his lycanthropy. The other was from the People of the Black Blood inviting him to join them. Damek replied to Dr. Valthen saying no thank you. He then tracked down the People of the Black Blood and slaughtered them all.
