Illon

Illon is the third planet from the sun in Eastspace. It has three moons, Oblivia, Ladassa, and Caldera. A Harmonic Convergence occurs every thousand years when the three moons align.

Geography

Illon has five continents.
The most populated is Eagremond. Eagremond tends to influence the rest of the world. For example, the Eras (see History) are based on Eagremond's history. The days of the week and planets of Eastspace are named after the Acovian Pantheon of Gods. Even the name Eastspace comes from the Kingdom of Eastvale.
The largest continent is Omnios. It is a wide expanse with a long history of conquerers trying to take it over.
Sumasi, a continent in the southern hemisphere, contains the most wild animals and has many tribal cultures.
The smallest continent is Aegoa. It was ruled by House Bananahammock for centuries.
And the final continent is Jotai, which is actually an archipelago of islands. They have a very different culture from the rest of Illon.

Ecosystem Cycles

Illon's years are 364 days, divided evenly into 13 months that are 28 days each. These months match the lunar cycle of  Oblivia. 
Ladassa has a lunar cycle of 52 days and Caldera has a lunar cycle of 91 days. When all three are full, people all over the world celebrate the Festival of the Moons.

History

Illon's history is divided into Eras. These Eras tend to follow the history of Eagremond, but are adopted by the other continents.
The Mythic Era was the time before the Eladrin arrived in Illon.
The First Era began when several groups of Eladrin came through portals from the Feywild and became the Elves of Illon. It ended when the Evil Overlord killed Good King Ulmond.
The Second Era was the rule of the Evil Overlord. It ended in 515 2E when he was defeated by Godfrey Samuels.
The early Third Era left everybody trying to divide borders after the fall of the Evil Overlord. Godfrey Samuels founded the Kingdom of Eastvale. After the adventures of Chaotic Okay in 48 3E, Queen Belladonna took over Eastvale, despite finding out that King Aaron Samuels was not her real father, but Solaniel was.
In 70 3E, The Chosen Nine set out to destroy Caldera. After finding out it was inhabited, they evacuated the Calderans and their livestock, including Charhorns, Blaze Hogs, Ember Beetles, and Gravestalk Root. These species lived on Illon from that point on.
The art of Spelljamming became widely known on Illon sometime after the 100s 3E.
During the Fourth Era, the species of Caldera moved to Odrus, which is much more habitable for them.
