Nerisaga

High Priest Nerisaga (a.k.a. Neri)

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Neri is a very tall and willowy person, enough that there are some rumors that they're not full Hylian, but possibly a mix of Twili, as well. Within the past few years, they've developed a recurring cough that sometimes leaves them unable to continue working on rebuilding the Temple for short periods of time, sometimes for a couple of days.

Special abilities

While in their travels and line of work, Neri has become very proficient in the healing arts, medicinal and magical, alike.

Apparel & Accessories

Neri has many piercings rimming their long, pointed ears, and wears bracers that seem to be made of some sort of white, luminous metal with a purple-ish blue sheen, formed into the shape of the Hylian Crest. They also wear a simple, long, white robe, free of any stitching or patterns.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Nerisaga was born in Ingot, which is now known as the capital of Hyrule. As they grew, they became curious about what else there was in the wide expanse of Hyrule, and set out to travel in their late teens. They met many people, races, and species in their travels, and some say they even came into contact with one or two of the Light Spirits in that time, leading them to pursue their faith and become a follower of Hylia.   Eventually, their travels led them to Castle Town, and the ruins of The Temple of Time. They were so overcome with emotion when seeing the ruined Temple that they decided to dedicate themselves to the restoration of it, eventually taking up a leadership position in the small congregation there.

Gender Identity

Non-binary, they/them/theirs

Intellectual Characteristics

Neri is known as a very patient and caring person, a perfect match for the role of High Priest. They are known to follow their heart in most all situations, giving any project or problem their full attention and strength.

Morality & Philosophy

As High Priest, Neri takes their job very seriously, making it their life mission to spread the Light of Hylia across Hyrule in the face of the hopelessness left in the wake of the shattered Triforce. They have faith that Hylia has not abandoned them, and hopes that the goddess has forgiven Zelda for the decision she made in shattering the gift that Hylia gave Hyrule.   They try their best to stay true to their faith, and in doing so does a lot of volunteer work, including attempting to rebuild The Temple of Time. Whatever extra money they get from selling various goods from the Temple, they give back to the community of Castle Town, not discerning between the various races that live there, much to the dismay of some of the upper-class Hylians.

Religious Views

History

Reinald and Neri know each other through political meetings and events in Castle Town. However, Neri views the Steward as a hypocrite and doesn't believe that he was chosen by Hylia, since he does not possess the Triforce of Wisdom. Reinald, on the other hand, doesn't pay much attention to Neri, since he figures that they don't hold much power or sway over him in his position.
