Karithi Clans

The great clans of the Karith are as a family, some of them fued and fight over the precious little that remains of the world. But they are always family, no matter how deep the hate goes, they would always save one another before allowing a Katharan to strike them down. For the Karith for in the end, they are all of that remains of a proud people.   These great families now wander the desert in many small clans, each of them consisting of several small family groups who work together to achieve survival and to thrive in this harsh environment, just as Tjatjarn taught them all those centuries ago.  

Plain Tribes

Plain livers of the whisper dunes and Queens Reach. Living off the more fertile lands, though they have recently been pushed further and further out. The clans here are more cooperative, as they live close to a great sphere of power, some of them even integrating with the local villages, but they are still mainly Karithi traditionalists. Some mainly go about as pastoral clans, while others have lived mainly as sellswords. Many of these clans were the ones pushed out into the whisper dunes. They live semi-nomadic lifestyles, generally drawing further inland as the warmer seasons come and go, and with the rising of the Nitea river do they migrate inland drawing further away as it begins to retreat. This is mostly done to avoid the ire of their neighbors. The plain tribes have a large portion of orcs and half-orcs in their midst, as many of them joined during their initial scouring and subsequent migration south as the Rashi established themselves along the Nitea and pushed the orcish tribes southward.  

Mountain Tribes

A few Karithi tribes have settled the more mountainous regions, such as the mountains of Basara and Abradeen ridges, these tribes subsist of herding as well, but are mainly raiders. Living in environments that can sustain little do are not qualified by taking from others.     The Mountain tribes mainly take their goat herds in the mountains during the warmer seasons, and migrate down during the colder seasons to avoid the freezing bite of the mountain, during such periods they take as much of their herd as they can to graze, the southern mountain tripes to the fertile shores around Kadri, though this often results in skirmishes, meaning the southern tribes have grown a warrior custom.   While the northern tribes go to live amongst the Mafaran , living off what merchandise they’ve accumulated by their herding.  

Far North Tribes

The far north tribes are harderned warriors, having long migrated further west or south to escabe the Sjeri, they have grown accustomed to moving fast, and to live as warriors, selling their swords to the cities of Khorum and Mafara .   The far north tribes have the largest amount of orcs in their midst, as they have banded together in their fight against not only the Sjeri but that of the Mage cities. For having shared gods the two groups have found much common ground that has pushed together. These tribes are desperate and they do not care who they must hurt in order to gain what they need, it has been their lives for as long as they can remember.  

Far East Tribes

The far eastern tribes are few, most of them have by now integrated with House Fadil of the Stygia Kingdom, there are still those who live as Karith before they would call themselves Stygian or Fadil . These clans are wandering the more western reaches of Stygia and Ondessa , living on the grazing plains with their horses and camels and goats. Many of them do however swear loyalty as banner men of Fadil.  

Central Tribes

The central tribes refer to the tribes that live around Fahdarm and the Iron Marches, these clans live deep within the deserts, either relying on the generosity of Stewards or as mercenaries for the major cities in the marches or as raiders. For there are scarce resources to around, and few smaller oasis are held by the tribes who migrate between them and do not take kindly to the approaching outsiders.  

Southern Tribes

The southern tribes migrate between the land of the giants and southern reaches of Ondessa bi-annually, avoiding the harshest of the storms that may approach from the Foul Wind Deserts. As the Southlands as they state are not feasible to inhabit during that part of the year, instead of travelling north to the lands of Fadil or southern Ondessa .
