Altani

The self-proclaimed protectors of Karlk’s gift, the clan has lived a long time around the sacred spring. Tracing their lineage back to the founding of the spring, after the war of tears, in such days there was a great necessity to protect the spring from reprisal attacks and desperate clans.
These days it is a highly sought position, jealously guarded by the altani, for around the spring their horses, goalts and camals can graze freely and the clan rarely lacks, but it also means they are held to another standard by their kinsmen, and weakness will quickly be exploited to take their lands. As such the Altani have developed a mistrusting mindset, but also a proud one, they never back down challenges, or deals struck. Honor to them is essential, for it is what maintains their position.

Lead by Khundra Batu, a highly venerated man amongst the Karithi for having tamed a scourge, a mark of greatest honor. Batu has ensured the loyalty of surrounded clans for the last 7 years of his rule, but he understands well his precarious situation.
