Kingdom of Yashida
Founded in 717 of the Modern Age, the Kingdom of Yashida, often times shortened to Yashida, is the follow-up to the Ancient Four Kingdoms made up from Asakumoku, Manyeong, Fuyuan, and Yuten.
Yashin the Conqueror is considered the "Father of Yashida" as his actions led to the unification of Yashida, even though he and his achiefments had been criticised several times by scholars throughout history. Yashin is also the namesake of the kingdom and the former capital Yashin, which has been replaced with Gyongseong in 1254.
Currently, the Kingdom of Yashida is a constitutional monarchy with a King or Queen Regent as the head of the state.

History
After the Unification Wars led by Yashin the Conqueror, the new Kingdom of Yashida was founded in 717 of the Modern Age, marking Year 1 of the Yashin Period.
The territories of Yashida's formation were those of the Ancient Four Kingdoms, the Qoshwa Islands were firstly added as a protectorate in the Tishenquo Conflict in 1041 and later became a Yashidal province.

Education
Every citizen of Yashida has the right for a basic level of education, which consists of literacy in Manyeong writing, simple mathemathics, the Teachings of the Five Philosophers, a basic education in Flora & Fauna, as well as the History of Peace and War. In border regions or areas of flourishing trade, foreign languages are oftentimes part of the curriculum as well.
The current public school system took its beginning in the 14th century, with village or elementary schools being visited by children from roughly age 5 to 12. With a warm meal per day, public schools have been a relief to many poorer families and started to double as orphanages as well.
Private schools have an adjusted curriculum and usually are attended from age 5 to 15. Apart from reading and writing, they offer calligraphy classes and literary theory as well as art and music classes. They teach more complex mathemathics and usually also add excurses into the Natural Laws and Astronomy. Philosophy and History is taught more in-depth and add politics and occasionally economic subjects into their teachings. Foreign languages are seen as a staple as well, although the most popular languages generally vary from region to region. More often than not, private schools are boarding schools and are located in town instead of rural areas.
