Free Elf - Wood Elf
While their Elvish cousins fought in the War of Conflict and lost, the Free Elves managed to escape deep into the Keilden Forest. Within the refuge of the forest and against the prying eyes of the Magisterium, these elves survived off the shattered remnants of their culture. After House Udaku's actions freed the city elves, many of the free elves have emerged from the forest to rejoin the country. However, because of human prejudice, and animosity from city elves (for fleeing the war), the free elves largely remain outside of "civilized" society.

Biological Traits
Woodland elves have the follow the traits in addition to the base traits of elves listed on the main page:
- Ability Score Increase: Your wisdom increases by 1.
- Elf weapon training: You have proficiency with the longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow.
- Fleet foot: your base speed is 35ft.
- Mask of the Wild: You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
Genetics and Reproduction
Like most, woodland elves reproduce physically and have a standard gestation period of 7 months.
Growth Rate & Stages
A typical woodland elf spend their first 50 years transitioning from infant to adolescent. They reach adulthood around 50 years old and prime age from 150 to 350. They get into middle age around 400 with a subtle decline into senior status at 600. Still holding to their magical nature and fey ancestry, a woodland elf can live to be 750 years old.
Ecology and Habitats
Almost all woodland elves exist primarily within the Keilden Forest. Few roam out into the other regions of Halruaal. This is primarily because of fear: both of the Human Magisterium and the hostility garnered by their fallen cousins, the city elves.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Wood Elves are the fastest of the elvish species, able to cover longer distances in shorter amounts of time. Added to this is the fact that they've adapted superbly to their environment in the Keilden Forest. Even the humblest of wood elf can boast the ability to practically disappear into nature.

History
In 300 AA, the elven nation that existed as native Halruaalans in the Keilden Forest engaged in a fifty year war with the human Magisterium. In the end, the woodland elves knew that they would lose. While the majority of the elves were enslaved, the woodland elves retreated into sacred groves and portals into the Feywild. The "high elves" became city elves and the wood elves became the "Free Elves". Although House Udaku enacted law that freed elves in 1650 AE, the woodland elves have maintained their isolation from humans and their cousins.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The woodland elves don't trust and fear humankind, who in turn fear and discriminate against them. At the same time, there is little love between the woodland elves and the city elves (the latter feeling the woodland elves abandoned them in the War of Conflict).
