The Three Kingdoms Kitchen
Welcome ladies and gentlemen, revered friends, patrons, and guests! I will be your host this lovely evening. And who am I, you ask? Well of course I am the most magnificent Marshall of meals, the fe'lomn of feasts, the conductor of cuisine, the Prince of perfected pastries, the Lord of luxurious lunches, the Baron of breath-taking breakfasts, the deity of divine dinners, and the demon of diabolical desserts. I am none other than Jahmjay Berridge, the Head Chef here at The Kitchen of Three Kingdoms Inn & Tavern. Now prepare your taste-buds for an astounding adventure! As I withdraw through those doors to my place of power, I shall hold court with only the most noble of ingredients from across the land to deliver unto your delight the most succulent sustenance I wager you have ever, and will ever, sample.
About The Kitchen
Encompassing the entirety of the back quarter of the building, The Kitchen at the Three Kingdoms Inn & Tavern is certainly not what most people would consider a traditional "seat of power." But ask anyone who's ever had the pleasure of dining on one of The Kitchen's creations and they will tell this place holds a special kind of power over its patrons when dining from its menu of masterpieces. For years, meals originating from The Kitchen have shaped critical diplomatic engagements, negotiations between kingdoms, stopped wars (if the tales are to be believed), been the backdrop to many a profession of undying love, and spurred on remembering of shared tales between old friends and warriors well into the small hours of the morning.Layout
Key to the success of the kitchen is its functional layout. A long, central workspace lovingly hand-carved of rare, tan-colored wooden planks imported from Eastern Lysandre is the focal point of the room. Meticulously organized shelves, jam-packed with bottles, jars, and cooking utensils line every available inch of the surrounding walls, above the counter-tops and cooking fires, while ample floor-space permits the small army of staff to maneuver freely, without fear of collision.Organization
The Kitchen is run by the Head Chef, who holds near absolute authority over the laws that govern it, determining which meals, at what times, are prepared in which manners. These are all the domain of the Head Chef. They are supported by a host of assistants, servers, and runners expected to operate as a well-oiled machine. The Head Chef is answerable only to the Inn & Tavern's proprietors (though some have even called this into question, whispering the Inn & Tavern could not survive without The Kitchen and its fabled feasts).Patrons
While the surrounding settlement at the intersection of the Kingdoms of Vath'azen, Al'Jymoor, and the Zuul’Hy Freelands is an extremely busy thoroughfare for travelers and merchants alike, people come from far and wide simply to sample the sweet and savory dishes created in The Kitchen, such as Chef Jahmjay's famous sweet singhalia surprise.Assets
Given its unique position at the confluence of three separate kingdoms, The Kitchen has access to a constantly changing array of incredibly unique and rare ingredients. If you ever need to find a particular herb, spice, or plant, there's a good chance it can be found at The Kitchen. If not, someone there will undoubtedly know how to get ahold of it (for the right price).

This is a really interesting spin on the seat of power prompt and I love it. Its something you'd never think of and yet I can almost see it. The location and the cuisine and the quality of service. Done right it is a seat of power cause I could see many a *officially unofficial* diplomatic meeting taking place over a quiet luncheon in a place like this, especially if they've cultivated a reputation of professionalism, fine dining and respecting private space, insuring clients can enjoy their meals with a level of semi privacy (so spacing out of the tables and the like). This could be a fascinating eatery to be in, a place where at any given time, there could be trade rights, peace treaties, military alliances, or any number of other high level nation to nation agreements and deals being hashed out by diplomatic figures of all kind. I get tingles all over just considering the possibility, what a unique twist on this prompt, well done.
Thank you so much for your continued encouragement through SC23. The time and care you've put into reading and responding to these articles is truly humbling and inspires me to try and pay it forward with other Anvilites.
