Ministry of the Legion
The Ministry of the Legion oversees the Ossan Foreign Legion and the Ossan National Guard. They handle deployment, troop movement, supplies, training, policy, inspections, ranks, and discipline.
STORY
Adriana Grappo kept spies in the Ministry of the Legion to keep her informed of military affairs. After her death, Demir Grappo takes over her spy network. As a child, Demir discovered a blindspot in Fort Alameda's defenses and wrote a letter about it to the Ministry of the Legion, but they never responded. In keeping with their neglect of the fortresses, Demir later finds that Fort Alameda and Fort Cundick are grievously undersupplied and undertrained.
The Ministry usually does not allow individuals with compromised mental states to remain in the military, but they made an exception for Idrian Sepulki because he was both a good Breacher and a glazalier, and he got some control of his madness through the use of a godglass eye.
Due to a cureglass shortage, the Ministry ordered surgeons to reserve it for use on glassdancers, Breachers, and high-ranking officers only, a policy that forces Idrian to negotiate with Coordinator-Lieutenant Prosotsi for Braileer Holdest's life.
