Richard Lovett
A world-renowned economist, political advisor, and former State Secretary of Vesper, Richard Lovett taught economics at the LOT for three decades, and is the author of Monetary Nature, considered by many to be the definitive text on modern economics (currently in its eighth edition).
Lovett served in the cabinets of Ristacia Caldoron, Andro Egveidt, and Starhold Kennig. Though he helped instigate many diverse policies, he is best known for his role in the Sunrise Offensive, and his advocacy for a preemptive strike against the Kinseti Nationalists.

Richard Lovett appears briefly in Book 1, aboard a state aerostatic with Bayanard Jov and Jovannan the Wise. Prospertine and Ramsey discuss their careers, but Lovett mostly makes jokes.
