The Priesthood of LLontel and his Children

The priesthood of LLontel and his children officially reside solely in Chalibeth lands, illegalized in Kenta lands centuries earlier. The priesthood oversees festivities, performs ceremonies, organizes community emergency supplies and services, offers counseling services, and fosters orphans. Many orphans raised by the order from a young age are encouraged to join the order upon maturity, approximately age 16, and are trained to serve the community.

Tithes are not required, but most communities do donate freely to the priesthood, seeing their efforts returned to their own families in due course. There is no higher structure above the local priesthood, and little bureaucracy to maintain.

LLontel is the tall and gaunt master of the deadlands, wed to Kelara the Dreamweaver. Llontel and Kelara have seven children: Sola, Theondel, Ethan, Heiden, Midgeet, Roidel, and Ferecule.

There are unofficial pockets of followers of the Priesthood in the Northern Tribelands, in the poorest neighborhoods on Kenta coastal cities and anywhere Ratfolk live. Followers help each other and observe the holidays in their own way, but in Kenta, they go out of their way to avoid official notice. Penalty if caught involves being released into the desert north of Kenta lands without gear or water.

Currently, two members of the Priesthood stand on the The Council of New Thostenburg, Veda Bernard and her son Markus Maxus. While the two Raddings family members on the council are not members of the Priesthood, they are sympathizers and block all Kenta counselors' attempts to regulate religious freedoms.

Live as you want to be remembered forever.
