Northern Tribesmen
The primarily human ancient tribes who settled in the north of Friganden settled in river valleys and along seashores where they could produce grains and tubers for use in food and alcohol production and pull in resources from the northern sea. Five tribes were led by five lords, each the head of an extended family. A hardy folk, the Northern Tribesmen adapted to harsh winter conditions. They alternately traded and fought with humans and orcs to the south and east. The population of the Northern Tribesmen was decimated when Mount Ridder exploded in a volcanic storm. Survivors rebuilt along northwestern shores or moved into Chalibeth territory. Three tribal lords remain and they bargain together with outsiders.
