Frigranden

Frigranden is a blue and green grim-light fantasy realm waiting to be explored. The fractured families of gods and their followers quarrel over land, freedom, and power.

Three centuries ago a god's wrath ignited the eruption of Mount Ridder in a violent explosion that buried the old metropolis Thostenburg and its surrounding villages under rock and ash. Trapped in the sub-layers of the old metropolis, generations of refugees have built their homes in the levels under the surface of the world. In New Thostenburg, merchants and thieves became underworld kings while citizens of the highest order found themselves enslaved, blamed for the fiery death from the mountain above.

After centuries of isolation, news descends through the levels. Outsiders. Contact with the world above has been restored. The council is hesitant to trust the word of outsiders, so they have recruited teams of explorers to gather information outside the confines of New Thostenburg.
