Mount Ridder Building / Landmark in Frigranden | World Anvil

Mount Ridder

Mount Ridder used to be the highest peak in the northern volcanic Father Range. Three hundred years ago, Mount Ridder erupted and exploded, devastating the lands west and south, which had been the most fertile and developed farmland in the Northern Tribelands. It is now a cratered mountain, with an occasional vent of smoke from the center of its crater.

Denizens

Northern Tribesmen have rebuild primarily along the coast and adjacent to the less active Mother Range to the west. Kobolds, Goblins, and small wildlife inhabit Mount Ridder and the surrounding Father Range. Elves trek to see the site of the devastation and to commune with the powers of fire and earth.

Hazards & Traps

The terrain is steep and varied. The inhabitants are insular and can be aggressive to outsiders, especially large parties. They extract a fee or gift from travelers.
