They oppose me and my subjects because of an old squabble even they have forgotten! They only know that their ancestors loathed me and that distrust has festered ever since they split from Kithalfithus.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
They can always be found in the Astral Plane. You are more likely to find algrevans when venturing in the likes of Florenelle or Elvarid.
Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
Nightgaunts
Nightgaunts are a common threat when venturing beyond the borders of Kithalfithus. Any stragglers are kidnapped and then taken away to wherever their hives could be.
Shantaks
Where skiffs help get around the Astral Plane, shantaks are used as mounts to go out into other planes of existence. Though these creatures are domesticated they are hard to manage to the untrained hand.
Civilization and Culture
History
Kordgelle never released the gelvantu into public eyes until he believed the time was right. A whole new world was ahead of them. They would settle around Nyarlin'huth Tower on the island of Kithalfithus in the Astral Plane as their home or in the smaller islands that surround it. They used this turf mainly as a place to return to after a long day's work.
Gelvantu history is far from major or exciting when put in a timeline. It's all so conveniently designed to be personal for those who venture out and dare to take on challenges. Most of these involve aiding in the fight against creatures of the Entropic Void void or resolving conflicts with algrevans or other dwellers in the Astral Plane.
Algrevans, however, are the rebellious gelvantu. They renounced their ties to Kordgelle and go on to impede his efforts in any way possible. Much of this hatred stems from their early ancestors being outraged by the Yellow Wrapped God's handling of them in the beginning. The original reasoning as to why has been lost to history but that hasn't stopped the algrevans. They are well aware of Kithalsis mind alteration strategies and believe that as the reason why it's lost so Kordgelle can demoralize them.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Gelvantu rarely see outsiders other than remains on floating islands. They can be uncomfortable with strangers for a time but they will be fine after mingling for a while.
Gelvantu characters use gith stats found in Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes. Algrevans use the githyanki’s subrace stats while the Gelvantheos use the githzerai stats. Alternatively, you can use either subrace to represent if your gelvantu character trains on mental or physical techniques.
Their skin often have pigments of yellow, green, or light orange.
