Sunny Peak Ski Resort

People did their best to populate just about any area of the world, except the mountains. Desert has its underground cities and people have even made it pretty far into the Wasteland, but they do not like the cold or the snow. This might be precisely why Glitter God and Satan established their home in the coldest region of their world - to keep the foolish mortals away at a safe distance. But against all odds, people have ventured even into the Mountain region and set up a few settlements. None of these are permanent though, there are a few ice quarry settlements, most notably the Icy Ice quarry, and the other ones are vacation resorts. Most of these are near the border with West T@Ö#Å3, but the most distant one is the Sunny Peak Ski Resort.

Location

Sunny Peak Ski Resort is located next to the - you guessed it - Sunny Peak mountain, about 50km into the Mountain region. That’s just about as far anyone is willing to get into this cold region; it’s even further into the region than the Icy Ice ice quarry.

“Sunny Peak” is a little bit misleading name - you’d expect something nice and pleasant, but the sun this name refers to is the icy blue sun. Of course it is, what other sun could it possibly be in this part of the world?

Sunny Peak mountain isn’t the coldest, iciest, tallest or in any way most remarkable mountain, but it’s just perfect for a ski resort. It’s not too tall or too steep, it has just the right amount of trees and forest critters to try and befriend, and a good amount of different slopes appropriate for beginners and experts alike.

The Resort

The only reason to be here is to come to the ski resort. The resort itself is a whole small town that has anything from a small town center with hotels, shops, restaurants, housing for the employees and of course its own town square with a temple, to log cabins a bit further away in the woods. There’s something there for everyone. Apart from skiing, the resort offers all sorts of other activities, such as ice skating, hiking, spa and fitness, board game coffee shops and of course, all the town square entertainment.

For these who come here to seek some peace and quiet, the log cabins out in the woods are a perfect spot for a quiet vacation. Many hiking trails lead from there to the top of the mountain that’s not too hard to reach at only something over 1000m. It’s a nice calm spot with a good view of the area. If the Cliffs of Å+*4~ have their own End of the World, this has to be the ned of the world of Mountain Region. There is nothing but snowy peaks and sparse forests as far as the eye can see. Here you can really feel like you’re alone in the world, cut off from the worries of your normal life. Well, you might be reminded that you’re not all alone by other hikers who come here to relax and rest at the coffee and snack shop at the top.

The resort is open for about 6 months in the year and gets the most tourists during the hottest season. That’s the time when the heat in West T@Ö#Ä3, as well as other parts of the world, get unbearable, but it’s also the time when this region is less cold. The resort gets most tourists from West T@Ö#Ä3, but there is always a fair amount of travelers from all across the world.
