More than 20 years ago, Carson Beaumont became the vigilante Chimera, and in short order became the one-man scourge of the Marchetti crime family. He was wealthy, in peak physical condition, and used a variety of technological gadgetry. He also worked alone, which made him the perfect target for the bodyswapping entity known as Xenos. Xenos stole Beaumont's body, leaving the former hero trapped in the body of a hooker who Xenos presented to Ferdinand Marchetti as a peace offering, wishing only to be left alone. Now, two decades later, the process that enhanced Beaumont's physical abilities is causing the body to show its age, and Xenos is on the hunt for a new host. Why he's taken an interest in Prodigious Girl is unclear, but he believes her to be one of the Kindred. But exactly who or what they are remains a mystery.
