Overview
Very little is known about this shadowy organization, or indeed if this is even an organization at all, or just a loose collection of individuals. But the long-lived Xenos had been tracking the whispered mentions of this group of extremely powerful individuals.
Intriguingly, the members of the group seem more defined by what they aren't rather than what they are. As it is currently understood, a typical metahuman almost always has a single core ability which they can use to various effects. Thus, a fire projector might use their ability to shoot energy blasts and fly, but they would not also randomly be able to teleport or control animals. Furthermore, metahuman abilites are bound to the physical body of the ascended meta, by use of their activated metagene. The Kindred, it seems, are not bound by these limitations. And as Prodigious Girl discovered, her power mimicry ability seems tied to her spirit rather than her physical body. Whether this is typical of the Kindred is unknown.
Connection to The Mosaic
Even less is known about the organization known as the Mosaic, although Xenos believed this group to be related to the Kindred in some way, perhaps recruiting them or hunting them. But that was guesswork on his part.Items and Equipment
