Sea Lords of Orisima
The Sea Lords of Orisima, better known as the Republic of Orisima, are a Republic with a large multicultural citizenship. They govern all the settlements within the region of the Abakan Jungles, Soliemia.
The Republic of Orisima heavily value community, encouraging public unity over individualism. Settlements governed by the Republic have many communal areas and public spaces, such as theatres and parks. The Republic also hold many annual festivals to celebrate community achievements.
The Republic also has a close partnership with the ancient Sea Dragon Nerósa, one of the four Dragon Lords, who’s lair is located near the Capital city.
The Republic has a good relationship with the neighbouring city states, and has cultivated a lucrative trade network that traverses the globe.

Government:
The Republic of Orisima are governed by a senate of twenty four elected delegates who make all the decisions for the city. The delegates are known as Senators or Sea Lords. All republic citizens are able to vote and stand in Osirian elections. The representatives are each members of the senate for five years and must wait another ten years until they can run for the senate again. Settlements within the Republic of Orisima are governed by Senators. These Senators are elected by the population and represent the population in the Orisima Senate.Military & Local Guard:
The Republic is protected by the Tidewatch, a guard force that also doubles as a navy in times of conflict. Each settlement in the Republic houses a garrison of Tidewatch and a couple of ships under the command of an Admiral, with the majority of the Tidewatch located at the capital.Religion:
The Republic of Orisima practise a policy of religious freedom, allowing its citizens to worship whomever they wish, only outlawing the worship of Dark Deities, such as Apophis and Tartarus. While the Republic has no official deity, due to all the settlements in the Republic being coastal there is a large religious following of Poseidon.Social Hierarchy:
The Republic of Orisima has a version of the standard monarchal class system. While it is primarily structured around property ownership and wealth, it lacks a royal class. Noble Class: The highest social class, consisting of the wealthiest families. Members of this class usually own multiple properties or businesses. A majority of senators come from the noble class. Middle Class: The middle class consists of families that own property, usually those who own a business or a store. Working Class: The working class consists of those who don’t own property. Working class citizens usually work for someone else and live in rented accommodation.Legal System & Laws:
All crimes are brought before a public jury who hear the evidence provided and a defence from the accused. The jury then votes if the accused is guilty. Most crimes lead to a fine or imprisonment with the death penalty outlawed. Common Laws Against: Theft, Slavery, Trespassing, Tax Avoidance, Property Damage, Kidnapping, Assault, Murder, Treason. Unique Laws Against: Worship of Dark Gods, Political Bribery. Alcohol & Drugs: All drugs are illegal and liquors are illegal until a person reaches adult age.
