Poseidon is the God of the Sea. He is a mercurial and vengeful deity, embodying both the calm and the violent nature of the seas.
Poseidon is known as the King of the Sea and presides over the domain of water, from the oceans and rivers to the Elemental Plane of Water. He rules from his palace, along with his Consort, the Sea Nymph Amphitrite.
Poseidon is commonly worshipped by sailors, fishermen and those living under the sea, usually for protection or safe passage.

Poseidon is exclusively depicted as masculine, commonly a middle aged figure with tanned skin, sea green eyes and thick black hair and a beard.
